In conjunction with the release of the movie “The Last Jedi”, Philips has launched three special limited edition shavers featuring cutting-edge rotary technology – on sale in Singapore until 31 December, 2017. Prices below.

The three new special edition Star Wars shavers is part of a global collaboration themed around the Star Wars franchise.

The Poe Dameron-inspired Philips Star Wars Shaver SW6700/14 (review here) is available exclusively at Best Denki.
The BB-8-inspired SW5700/07 and Philips Star Wars Dry Electric Shaver in Stormtrooper-inspired SW170/04 are available on the Philips e-store as well as from selected electronic stores, major departmental stores and authorised dealers.

The step-up of business footprint of the corporation’s regional headquarters in Singapore will bring the global IT consultancy & outsourcing services company closer to its clients in the region, and enhance recruitment of local talent in Singapore.
The new technology centre is located in Virtusa’s offices in Singapore at the Akzonobel House n Changi Business Park.
According to the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Roger Keith Modder, who inaugurated the new technology centre in Singapore, Virtusa plans to grow its employees here by 50% within the next 3-5 years, tapping into the talent pool generated by the universities here.
The billion-dollar company (by market cap) is counting on the Smart Nation efforts of the Singapore government and is spearheading its strategy here with the company’s verticals in Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, and Healthcare.

Huawei launched its Mate 10 series of Android smartphones in Singapore this evening.
Huawei Mate 10 Pro (left) is slightly longer while the Mate 10 (right) is broader. The Mate 10 Pro does not have a home button, a headphone jack nor an external memory card slot.

The top 10 players for the Time Zombies Virtual Reality Competition Finals have been selected and they will be battling it out at a final showdown this Sunday, 29t October from 2pm – 6pm at Bugis + Level 2 Atrium.
We were invited to try out the VR games for this competition at Bugis+ & Bugis Junction in Singapore – it was great fun!
This is the first time a mall in Singapore is hosting a VR experience of this scale.
Three thrilling games are available for shoppers to test their courage: Time Zombies, Walk the Plank and Arizona Sunshine Zombie.
The Time Zombies competition uses the latest Arctic Fox wireless technology, which allows a fully immersive gaming experience without the the burden of cumbersome cables or backpack computers that hinder physical movement.
Using Arctic Fox VR technology, players don only a wireless headset that features a high definition screen and gaming headphones for an immersive surround sound experience.
The VR gaming showcase at Bugis Junction and Bugis+ this Halloween will mark Arctic Fox’s debut in Southeast Asia, to the delight of VR gaming enthusiasts in the region.

Golden Village Multiplex (GV) opens Paya Lebar multiplex to the public on 6 October, fully equipped with laser projection and deluxe seats.
All the auditoriums will be equipped with laser projection systems from Barco.
Located at the new Singpost Centre retail mall, the new mulitplex is located in the heart of Paya Lebar, in the east of Singapore.
The 756-seat GV Paya Lebar, will be equipped with 20,000-lumens Barco Smart Laser Projection which offers better picture quality over traditional digital projections.
The new Golden Village Paya Lebar has 8 auditoriums with a total of 756 seats.
