Samsung Unpacked has just kicked off globally to unveil 5 new Galaxy Z foldables and wearables.
The new devices will hit the shelves in Singapore from 2 September 2022, Friday, 10am.

Huawei has launched online the new Mate Xs 2 folding phablet, as well as a slew of health and fitness wearables.
The new Huawei Mate Xs 2 folding phablet has a 7.8-inch True-Chroma foldable display and weighs only 255g.
The following new products were launched by Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group.
- Huawei Mate Xs 2
- Huawei Watch GT3 Pro
- Huawei Watch Fit 2
- Huawei Band 7
- Huawei Watch D
- Huawei S-Tag

Xiaomi has opened its eighth authorised store in Singapore at Waterway Point, with launch promotions of up to 50% off selected AIoT products.
Xiaomi’s 140-square-metre store is situated in Waterway Point, a family and lifestyle shopping mall in Punggol. It is located at B1-41/42 (East Wing) and is open everyday from 11am to 9pm. Photo credit: Xiaomi Singapore.
In the store, consumers can physically try out Xiaomi’s smartphones and the array of AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) products Xiaomi sells, as well as accompanying accessories.
As part of the store’s launch, a series of special promotions are available from 14 – 16 May 2022, while stocks last.

Huawei held a special sneak preview for select media on some of the health and fitness wearables that they plan to launch later this month.
The new Huawei Watch GT3 Pro in Titanium (Left) and Ceramic White.
The wearables featured during the briefing included the following.
- Huawei Watch GT3 Pro
- Huawei Band 7
- Huawei Watch Fit 2
- Huawei Watch D
Huawei Watch Fit 2, Active Edition in Isle Blue Silicone Strap.
The new products covered a large spectrum of people ranging from those who just want some basic health data, to fitness enthusiasts who want in-depth data to hone their training; as well as the health conscious who want to measure detailed data about their health, such as blood pressure and heartbeat characteristics.
Later in the month, Huawei is expected to officially launch these devices together with additional products such as the Huawei Mate Xs 2 folding phablet and the Huawei S-Tag tagging accessory.

Huawei launched a series of new products, headlined by its folding clamshell smartphone – the P50 Pocket – a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Huawei joined forces with prominent haute couture designer, Iris Van Herpen, in a cross-industry collaboration to create the Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition.
The global launch event saw Huawei unveil a slew of new products in defiance to the two-year-old ban by the US which has deprived the Chinese company access to critical semiconductor chips and software.
The products launched include the following – all part of a smart and fully connected ecosystem based on Huawei’s HarmonyOS – the company’s substitute for Google’s Android OS.

Homegrown company Oaxis has launched their latest smartwatch for kids – the myFirst Fone R1s, as well as their latest wireless bone conduction headphones. Price and availability below.
The new myFirst Fone R1s helps parents remain connected to their kids and provides sheltered connectivity for the kids, as well as health features.
myFirst, a Singapore-based tech brand for kids has launched the myFirst Fone R1s smartwatch and myFirst Headphones BC Wireless Lite.
Price and Availability
The myFirst Fone R1s will retail at S$269 with six months of free data access SIM card and is available for purchase online and all authorised retailers or for S$28 per month with a one-year contract.
Pre-order for the myFirst Fone R1s is available on the myFirst online store from 15 December 2021, with deliveries commencing on 5 January 2022.
The R1s will also be available at authorised retailers at a later date.
Designed for young children in today’s world of smart devices, the R1s features 4G LTE connectivity to chat, video, and voice-call their families and peers under supervision of their parents.
The R1s ships with 8GB storage for music files, a heart rate monitor, a find-my-watch feature, GPS tracking, lift to wake sensitivity and more.
Built to provide ease-of-use, the myFirst Fone R1s auto-detects myFirst’s Bluetooth headset for seamless pairing, while also utilising a simple-to-use watch and app interface for both young children and parents.
