The new Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 (S$38) will hit the shelves in Singapore on 20 October 2023.
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 will be available in Black or White and will be available from local telecommunication operators, Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Official Store on Lazada and Shopee, and major consumer electronics & IT stores.
Galaxy SmartTag2’s brand-new Lost Mode allows users to input their contact information via a message.
Anyone who discovers an item with a Galaxy SmartTag2 attached can use their smartphone to scan the tag and see the owners’ message and contact information.
New Modes Mean Longer-Lasting Battery
Users can now enjoy Galaxy SmartTag2 for longer with the brand-new Power Saving Mode, available alongside an improved Normal mode.
For users who rely on SmartTag to continually track items, Power Saving Mode is the perfect option to maintain battery life while ensuring you can keep an eye on your things.
With Power Saving Mode, Galaxy SmartTag2’s battery now lasts up to 700 days, more than twice as long as previous Galaxy SmartTag models.
Even in Normal Mode, battery life is now extended to 500 days, a 50% increase on previous models. With the flexibility to switch between two modes, users can track their valuables – from car keys to bikes – for longer.
This means a Galaxy SmartTag2 attached to a pet’s collar is now a convenient way to ensure the pet owner’s phone number is always there, in most places where the pet might wander.
Lost Mode works with any mobile device with NFC reader and web browser.
Galaxy SmartTag2 now provides an improved Compass View feature, enhancing the user experience by providing arrows to show the direction and distance of the Galaxy SmartTag2 in relation to the user.
This mode is available on any UWB-supported Galaxy smartphone, such as the Galaxy Z Fold5.
The SmartThings Find app has also been upgraded, with newly registered Galaxy SmartTags that now installs a shortcut to the app on the user’s smartphone, allowing users to launch SmartThings Find more quickly.
Additionally, the app now features a full screen map view and an intuitive interface, making the user experience even more seamless.

Huawei has launched online the new Mate Xs 2 folding phablet, as well as a slew of health and fitness wearables.
The new Huawei Mate Xs 2 folding phablet has a 7.8-inch True-Chroma foldable display and weighs only 255g.

Huawei held a special sneak preview for select media on some of the health and fitness wearables that they plan to launch later this month.
The new Huawei Watch GT3 Pro in Titanium (Left) and Ceramic White.
The wearables featured during the briefing included the following.

- Huawei Band 7
- Huawei Watch Fit 2
- Huawei Watch D
Huawei Watch Fit 2, Active Edition in Isle Blue Silicone Strap.
The new products covered a large spectrum of people ranging from those who just want some basic health data, to fitness enthusiasts who want in-depth data to hone their training; as well as the health conscious who want to measure detailed data about their health, such as blood pressure and heartbeat characteristics.
Later in the month, Huawei is expected to officially launch these devices together with additional products such as the Huawei Mate Xs 2 folding phablet and the Huawei S-Tag tagging accessory.

From 15 April 2021, Huawei Band 6 will be available at S$88 in three different colours — Graphite Black, Sakura Pink and Forest Green.
Huawei has just announced the new Band 6 – featuring a 1.47-inch enhanced AMOLED FullView Display, 2-week battery life, as well as all-day health monitoring.
The Huawei Band 6 supports all-day monitoring of heart rates, SpO2, sleep, and stress measurement; as well as menstrual cycle tracking for ladies.
