Acer announced the launch of the Swift Edge 16 laptop, Predator Triton 16 laptop, and its first eco-friendly Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Router at this year’s Computex, Taiwan’s biggest computing event.

The Acerpure line of home appliances includes air purifiers, air circulators and vacuum cleaners. Prices below.

From Acer, Asus, Fitbit, HTC, Lenovo, Huawei, Samsung to ZTE, “Go Android!” showcases a comprehensive selection of Android devices in an Android-branded space spanning a 1,100 square feet.
In response to the emerging demand for products in the Android and Gaming categories, Challenger has revamped more than 4,000 square feet of its cookie-cutter retail space in Funan.
Record sales of Android devices inspired the first ‘Go Android’ in town
Having noted record sales of Android devices in recent years, Challenger is bringing all the big names together to provide a one-stop solution to users of Android devices.

I was wondering how well Intel has penetrated the mobile market. Here are some quick updates from Jonathan Ong, Area Sales Manager of Intel Singapore & Malaysia.
Intel’s Atom processors are being adopted in smartphones and tablets in the mobile devices market.
According to the September report of the Strategy Analytics, Intel ranked second in Application Processor Shipment in Q2 of 2014.
The keys to their mobile strategy:
- Compute performance based on true 64-bit architecture
- Global communications platforms
- Leading manufacturing technology
Intel Atom processors focus on providing the performance demanded by today’s road warriors.
There are now more than 200 smartphone/tablet designs currently in the market or coming this year in over 150 countries.

The new Core M enables razor-thin, energy-efficient, fanless designs and will be available in the holiday season of 2014.

The new Intel Core M processor will power a slew of new 2-in-1 devices from manufacturers including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Toshiba.
The Intel Core M processor is available in several versions
- Core M-5Y10/5Y10a processors up to 2.0GHz
- Core M-5Y70 processors up to 2.6GHz
The Core M-5Y70 is the highest performing Core M processor and is also available with Intel vPro technology for business 2-in-1s with built-in security features to help protect data, user identities and network access.
Offering a combination of mobility and performance, Intel’s new processor aims to provide performance in thin, fanless mobile devices.
Intel boasts that the Core M processor can power razor-thin devices with Intel Core level performance and deliver up to double the battery life when compared to a four-year old system.
Additional Intel Core M platform features include support for high-quality audio, Intel Wireless Display 5.0, Intel’s second generation 802.11ac products and will evolve to support wireless docking with WiGig from Intel.
