The patented compact folding arm technology in the new N2 robots feature is a world’s first innovation in 6-axis robot design that brings extreme maneuverability, improving efficiency of motion for complex and high precision assembly tasks.
The new N2 robots were showcased for the first time at the Epson booth at Manufacturing Technology Asia 2017, from 4 to 7 April 2017.
Epson, a leading industrial robot manufacturer, launched its new N2 series of compact 6-axis robots at Manufacturing Technology Asia 2017.
“With the N2 robots, companies can easily automate their assembly line with minimal design change to the current line layout, while dramatically enhancing productivity. Indeed, these new line of robots with its revolutionary technology, has brought a new breakthrough to the market and challenges current assembly line standards,” said Ng Ngee Khiang, Regional General Manager (Southeast Asia), Industrial Robotics, Epson Singapore.
The Epson N2 robots have the unique ability to fold through itself, versus moving around.
This reduces the number of intermediate points and shortens cycle times.
Designed for confined workspaces and smaller payloads, the N2 robot reduces required workspace area by up to 40% compared to standard 6-Axis robots.
The robots are able to operate in areas as small as 600mm x 600mm, enabling more efficient assembly line layout and improved productivity.
Ergonomically-designed for a secure grip, the Canon PowerShot SX730 HS has a 180-degrees tilting LCD screen for selfies. The 40x optical zoom will make it easier to zero-in to that pimple you want to examine closer. ;-P
The PowerShot SX730HS has a 20.3-megapixel CMOS sensor and a Smooth Skin mode for enhancing selfies.
Weighing only 300 grams, the PowerShot SX730 HS has 40x optical zoom which can be doubled to 80x zoom with Canon Zoomplus technology.
“The Powershot SX series is proven for its high zoom capabilities, enabling far-reaching sight for photographers such that fine details can be captured even from afar. Going a step further to broaden functionality, features such as the smooth skin mode and tilt-type screen on the PowerShot SX730 HS will help users to take the most flattering and high-resolution selfies,” said Edwin Teoh, Head of Marketing, Singapore Operations, Canon Singapore.
The PowerShot SX730 HS is also equipped with the Zoom Framing Assist feature which helps the user keep the subject within the frame.
Should the subject move out of frame while user is shooting, the Zoom Framing Assist feature can be activated with a push of the button, to zoom out and quickly locate the subject, keeping it in the frame.
An Auto Zoom feature also allows the camera to adjust the zoom factor automatically, to maintain the optimum framing based on users’ desired setting.
For portraits, the Smooth Skin mode offers three levels of skin “enhancement”.

The G6 is LG’S flagship smartphone sporting a sleek 18:9 aspect ratio, beefed up rear dual cameras and a stunning display all ready for HDR movies. Price in Singapore: S$988.
My take: The LG G6 packs a large display in a compact body, and is a strong flagship offering that goes back to basics to strengthen usability. Its 18:9 aspect ratio introduces new flexibility in terms of screen layout and user friendliness. The G6 also makes it easy to share the good photos it takes on social media through tight integration in the user interface.
The LG G6 sports a 5.7-inch QHD+ display with an 18:9 wide-screen aspect ratio.
The 2,880 x 1,440 pixels on-screen has a high resolution of 564ppi that’s similar to the 570ppi on its rival, the Samsung S8.
The LG G6 was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2017 towards the end of February and will be officially launched in Singapore tomorrow. I have been trying out the G6 (pre-launch handset) to get a feel of the new smartphone.
I have been invited by Acronis to co-host a Twitter Party today from 4-5pm, so we can have some fun learning more about backup, answer some quiz questions and win some prizes along the way.
I will be posing a question on data security and will be giving away a Polaroid Zip mobile printer to a lucky Twitter follower who tweets the correct answer.
So do join us on Twitter via the hashtag #AcronisWBD. Just click on the link.
Good Luck!
So backup now by making a copy of your data so you won’t lose it in case something happens to your computer.
So even if you’re hit by a virus, hardware failure, natural disaster, or anything else, you can restore your system from a reliable backup.
Here are three ways you can backup your data.
External media. There is a wide variety of external storage media you can choose, including USB drives, external hard drives, DVDs and more.
Cloud storage.Your internet connection means there are many cloud storage services available to you. Some are free, some you pay for.
Network drives. If your computer is on a local area network (LAN), you can backup to a network folder or network attached storage (NAS) device.
