Samsung kicks off huge publicity campaign in Singapore with pop up Galaxy Studio to showcase the Galaxy Plus ecosystem surrounding its newly launched Galaxy S8 & Galaxy S8+ flagship smartphones.
Galaxy Studio showcases the new line-up of device and service additions to the Galaxy ecosystem that puts the newly launched Galaxy S8 and S8+ at its heart.

The latest Galaxy S8 and S8+ are at the centre of this ecosystem, and we present Galaxy Plus so our customers can fulfil more and get more from their mobile experiences,” said Eugene Goh, Vice President, IT & Mobile, Samsung Electronics Singapore.
The Galaxy Studio consumer event is held in celebration of the recent launch of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, and will be held at Civic Plaza, Ngee Ann City, from tomorrow till 29 June.
Galaxy Studio will be open from 14 April to 29 June, 11am to 9pm daily, with the exception of 22 April to 24 April, where it will be opened at 9.30am to 11pm.
Galaxy Studio will introduce the new “Galaxy Plus” ecosystem, offering options for consumers to get more out of their Galaxy S8 and S8+.
This includes the Samsung DeX Station, Gear VR with Controller, Gear 360 (2017) and the Mobile Photo Printer.

The new Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch offers Military-grade Protection, IP68 water and dust resistance, mobile payments, and built-in speaker and GPS.
The Gear S3 comes in two designs: the rugged Gear S3 frontier and the elegant Gear S3 classic – both are priced at S$548 and will be available in Singapore in Q4, 2016.

The Galaxy A9 Pro (2016) phablet sports a 6-inch SUPER AMOLED screen and is a timely launch to attract customers looking for an affordable big-display alternative to the ill-fated 5.7-inch flagship Note7 phablet.
The new earbuds cum music player will be available in Singapore from this Saturday, 16 July. Available at S$298 in black, blue or white.
The Samsung Gear IconX comes with a case that doubles as a charger, which can power the earbuds up to 2 full charges while it’s resting.
Announced back in early June, the Gear IconX earbuds from Samsung comes with Precise Tracking Technology, to provide an optimal fitness experience.
Launch Promotions
From 16 to 31 July 2016, Samsung will be holding an islandwide launch promotion for the Gear IconX and Gear Fit2.
Customers who purchase a Galaxy S7 4G+, S7 edge 4G+ or Note 5 4G+ will be able to enjoy S$50 off their purchase of the Gear IconX or Gear Fit2.
The promotion will be available at local telecommunication operators, authorised retailers, Samsung Experience Stores, Lazada Singapore and Hachi.tech.
The In-ear Audio Fitness Tracker allows users to track their fitness data, from speed, distance and duration to heart rate and calories burnt via S Health.
Its dedicated Voice Guide feature helps users to workout in a more efficient way by giving instant feedback and updates on their progress.
The Gear IconX enables users to stay informed of their training status and to reach their Vigorous Intensity Zone, maximising their workout.
In addition, Ambient Sound Mode keeps them safe and aware of their surroundings, even while they are plugged in.
As a standalone Built-in Music Player, users can also store their music on the Gear IconX with its 4GB of internal memory that can hold up to 1,000 tracks, and play up to 11 hours of music.
Samsung Electronics unveiled the new Galaxy S7 (S$998), Galaxy S7 edge (S$1,098) Android smartphones, as well as the Gear 360 camera (S$TBA).

The Galaxy S7 & S7 edge offers “a refined design, more advanced camera, streamlined software functionality and unparalleled connectivity to a galaxy of products, services, and experiences”.
Price and availability
The Galaxy S7 4G+ and Galaxy S7 edge 4G+, both with built-in memory of 32GB will be available from 12 March 2016 at recommended retail price of S$998 and S$1,098 respectively.
Both devices will be available in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium.
The Samsung Gear 360 is a 360-degree camera that lets consumers easily create, view and share their favorite experiences through video and still image content.
Gear 360 is designed for travel, festive gatherings and activities to capture an all-encompassing visual experience to create their own virtual reality content to enjoy through the Gear VR.
Pre-orders and registration of interest for the Galaxy S7 4G+ and S7 edge 4G+ will commence from 26 February 2016, 10am at all Samsung Experience Stores and telecommunication operators.
Sydney based studio, Garage Entertainment, Australia’s producer/distributor of Action Sports & Adventure film and television content has collaborated with Samsung SportsFlow to launch a new Actions Sports & Adventure Channel called Fearless.

The Fearless channel is now available on the SportsFlow app, giving on-demand access for SportsFlow users (currently over half a million) to over 1,000 best in class action sports films, including films from media houses such as Red Bull, Crusty Demons, Taylor Steele and Rip Curl.

Content on the Fearless channel will be available to all SportsFlow users across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
The Fearless channel marks both the first time sports film content is available on the SportsFlow app as well as the first collaboration of Samsung SportsFlow with any film studio/distributor worldwide.

The GALAXY Note 4 (S$1,088), Gear S (S$498) and Gear Circle (S$168) will reach Singapore on 11 October and but you can register your interest for the Note 4 from noon tomorrow (2 October). The GALAXY Note Edge 4G+ will be available in Q4 2014.

Samsung Singapore showcased in Singapore today a few of the devices unveiled during IFA 2014 – namely the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge.
Also available for hands-on were the Gear S smartwatch and Gear Circle Bluetooth wireless earphones.

Both the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge now have the same Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) as the LG G3 but on a larger 5.7-inch screen, and the S Pen and S Note have been improved to enhance their functionality and productivity.
Samsung Gear Circle, with the ear buds “stuck” together magnetically, can be worn around the neck like a necklace when not in use.
The rear camera now has 16 megapixels and the front has 3.7 megapixels with an f1.9 lens.
By the way, the processor that’s going to ship to Singapore is the Snapdragon with 3GB RAM.
The Note Edge really does look novel with the sharp display on the curved screen that wraps around the thin right edge of the phablet.
The Gear S smartphone runs on the Tizen OS and has its own nano-SIM slot so you can place and receive calls independently of a smartphone.
It can also store and play music directly and be paired with the Gear Circle.
First Impressions:
Having used the Galaxy S4, Note 3 and now using the S5, I find the Note 4 and Note Edge exciting new additions to the Galaxy flagship devices.
Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge smartphone, the Gear VR mobile VR headset, as well as the Gear S smartwatch and Gear Circle earphones at the Unpacked Episode 2 press conference in Berlin, Germany.
Samsung showcased in Singapore today most of the new devices it unveiled during IFA 2014 in a media preview.
It also displayed accessories that Montblanc has specially designed for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
The Galaxy Note 4 will be available in “Charcoal Black,” “Frost White,” “Bronze Gold,” and “Blossom Pink” in global markets starting in October.
The Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge are the latest additions to the Galaxy Note family.
Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge Android smartphones
The Galaxy Note 4 has a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display and sports the Multi Window feature for multi-tasking.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
It ships with a 16-megapixel rear camera with Smart Optical Image Stabilizer, and a 3.7-megapixel front camera with f1.9 lens with 120 degrees wide angle.
The Note 4 also has a Fingerprint Scanner and a UV sensor.
The Galaxy Note Edge has a 5.6-inch screen that wraps around the right side of the device.
The Galaxy Note Edge will be available in “Charcoal Black” and “Frost White” in select markets through Samsung’s retail channels, e-commerce and carriers later this year.
Gear VR mobile headset
Samsung and Oculus has collaborated to create the mobile VR headset optimised for the Galaxy Note 4.
Pre-ordered units can be collected on 11 April, Friday, as the new Samsung GALAXY S5 LTE (S$1,068 without contract) hits Singapore shelves from 12 April, Saturday onwards.
