Huawei is launching the Watch GT 2 Pro in Singapore as part of the company’s 10.10 promotions and deals, which includes up to S$440 in savings on Huawei devices at Lazada & Shopee.

Unveiled globally last month in September, the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro (Night Black) will be available on 10.10 at S$398 – bundled with a Huawei 15W Wireless Charger and a Huawei Brown Leather Strap (worth total S$106).
Huawei’s 10.10 Promotions
Huawei is holding flash sales online from now till 10 October on Lazada & Shopee, with up to S$440 in savings (eg. P30 & Mate 30 Pro).
The Huawei Concept Stores in Singapore will have special in-store 10.10 deals for audio and wearable devices from 10 – 11 October.
These include discounts for the Huawei FreeBuds 3i (S$99, UP: S$168) and the Huawei Watch GT 2e (S$148, UP: S$218).
The Watch GT 2 Pro aims to be a robust smartwatch that’s minimalistic and comfortable.
Crafted with a design that is built to last, the Watch GT 2 Pro features a titanium frame and sapphire watch face for tough durability.

Fitbit boasts that the Sense features the world’s first electrodermal activity (EDA) sensor for stress management, a new ECG App, advanced heart rate tracking technology, SpO2 and on-wrist skin temperature sensors.
The Versa 3 adds a GPS and a speaker, while the Inspire 2 sports an enhanced design and Active Zone Minutes (AZM)

Singapore IoT and smart wearables firm KaHa teams up with healthcare partner EasyCare International (iDOC) to launch Remote Monitoring Solution in Singapore.

By leveraging technology, the partnership between KaHa and EasyCare iDOC aims to bring greater convenience and efficacy to healthcare management.
As part of the company’s commitment to health and wellness, Singapore Internet of Things (IoT) solutions company KaHa launched today its partnership with medical solutions provider EasyCare and its brand iDOC.
Availability
The iDOCWATCH will be available from May 2020 at iDOC ePharmacy (online retail platform) and iDOC Clinics in Hougang and Jurong West.
The iDOC Remote Monitoring Dashboard will be rolled out in phases starting with non-clinical uses such as with gyms, health coaches and fitness instructors before deployment for research and clinical use.
iDOC Clinic is a medical group founded by the EasyCare team, and EasyCare works with iDOC Clinic in the implementation of its healthcare technologies in the primary care setting.
As part of its services, EasyCare conducts annual or biannual chronic disease screening for corporate clients.
In between screenings, the iDOCWATCH together with mobile app iDOC Easy Track, will be made available to individuals to enable continuous monitoring of their health by collecting and analysing essential health data from the user to be sent to the iDOC Remote Monitoring Dashboard, which aims to improve health and fitness amongst users.

Both Fitbit and HPB have clarified that media reports that the Singapore government is planning to give away one million free Fitbit devices are not correct.

The “free” Inspire Fitbit HR tracker for the 1 million Fitbit Premium service subscribers that Fitbit is targeting.
Both clarifications are very similarly worded and are appended below.
Essentially, the clarifications addresses two issues: who is actually giving out the free Inspire HR trackers, and whether other partners have been selected by HPB for other collaborations.

Named “Live Healthy SG”, the population-based public health initiative with the Singapore Government is Fitbit’s first major integration of its digital health platform and wearables into a national public health program.

The landmark nationwide health initiative will be powered by Fitbit devices and its new Premium service designed to drive better health outcomes at scale.
Fitbit is collaborating with Singapore’s Health Promotion Board (HPB) on the healthy population project in support of Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative.
The HPB is Singapore’s government agency that implements policy and programs to improve the nation’s health.
Fitbit was identified through a competitive call for collaboration and various levels of competitive evaluation.
Participants who enroll in and commit to one year of Fitbit Premium service will receive a Fitbit Inspire HR at no cost.
“Live Healthy SG” was designed for Singapore by Fitbit to harness technology, behavior insights and analytics to help Singaporeans get healthier through meaningful and sustained behavior change.
Live Healthy SG will engage people of all ages and levels of health using Fitbit devices and its new Premium service, which is launching to consumers in select markets around the world this fall.

The Singapore-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC) gathered nine Singapore companies who are forming the Singapore Pavilion at IFA 2019 to give sneak previews of the main products that they are showcasing at the annual consumer electronics and home appliances fair.
Here are some smart locks from Igloohome.
IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin – international radio exhibition Berlin) is a global consumer electronics and home appliances show held annually in Berlin in September.
The myFirst kids’ tech collection by Oaxis makes children-version gadgets of devices that adults use. Seen here is a microphone, a smartwatch, earphones, a “gopro” camera, and a “instax” camera.
IFA this year will be from 6-11 September and will include the following nine home-grown tech companies in the Singapore Pavilion.
