Canon today announced the launch of the EOS 850D DSLR, Selphy Square QX10 pocket printer, RF 24-105MM F/4-7.1 IS STM lens, and the image.canon Cloud Platform.

Canon also announced the development of the new EOS R5 full-frame mirrorless camera & planned release of 9 RF lenses in 2020.
EOS 850D
The EOS 850D ships with the Dual Pixel CMOS AF, and EOS Intelligent Tracking and Recognition Auto Focus (iTR AF) for face detection.
Development of the EOS R5
Canon’s EOS R5 will be the first of the next-generation full-frame mirrorless cameras in the company’s EOS R System.
The EOS R5 will include a newly developed CMOS sensor that makes possible advanced features such as high-speed continuous shooting and 8K video capture capability.
It will also be the first Canon camera equipped with a high-performance coordinated Image Stabilization system that integrates the camera’s in-body IS with IS system on attached RF lenses.
In line with the development of the EOS R5, Canon also plans to release a total of 9 RF lenses currently in development over the course of 2020.
The camera has an optical viewfinder and boasts a low-light capability for shooting at night and in dark places.
The EOS 850D contains a 4K time-lapse movie function that allows users to capture day-to-night time-lapse movies of cityscapes in ultra-high resolution through a selection of pre-set scenes or simple manual settings.
SELPHY SQUARE QX10
The new SELPHY SQUARE QX10 is a palm-sized photo printer that produces square-formatted prints.
Featuring dye-sublimation technology, users are able to print high-quality photos directly from their smartphones that are dirt-proof and water-resistant.
The SELPHY SQUARE QX10 is Canon’s most portable printer, enabling users to instantly print their memories wherever and whenever they want, with the assurance that printout quality will not diminish over time.

Canon has launched today 4 new PIXMA inkjet all-in-one printers. The TS9170 (S$329), TS8170 (S$299) and TS5170 (S$189) are photo all-in-one printers, while the TR8570 (S$289) is a business all-in-one printer. Available 25 September, 2017.

Hot on the heels of Epson’s launch of the rival’s L-series ink tank printers yesterday, Canon has launched four new models in its PIXMA series of inkjet printers.
Canon’s new lineup is skewed more towards photo printing – three out of the four new models are photo all-in-one printers while the fourth is targeted at small businesses and SOHOs.

Epson has launched its new L-Series ink tank printers, with six new models (L6190, L6170, L6160, L4160, L4150, L405, ) ranging from S$539 to S$329. Available 22 September, 2017. Prices below.
Epson L6190 integrated ink tank printer uses spill proof refill bottles (S$539): print, scan, copy, ADF, Fax, duplex.
- ISO Speed: 15 ipm / 8.0 ipm
- Wireless, Ethernet, Mobile & Cloud Printing
- Supports Apple Airprint & Mopria Print Service
- Borderless photo printing up to A4 size
- User replaceable maintenance box available for added convenience
- 2 years on-site warranty, or 50,000 pages whichever comes first
All the new printer models (except the L405) are integrated ink tank printers where the ink tank container has been positioned within the printer to reduce the overall footprint of the printers.
Unlike the new integrated ink tank printers, the new L405 (S$329) retains the external ink tank design of Epson’s existing ink tank printers, resulting in a larger footprint.
New features in some of the models include auto-duplex printing (or paper feeding), PrecisionCore printheads and a 30-sheet ADF (automatic document feeder).

Fujifilm launches its first hybrid instant camera in its new square format printout. Available worldwide 19 May 2017: S$499.
The SQ10 is the first hybrid camera in Fujifilm’s Instax range of instant cameras that is equipped with a digital image sensor.
Photos taken can be stored in an external microSD card (sold separately) for immediate or future printing on the camera itself on the go.
The photos taken can be digitally edited on the camera for brightness and contrast, with the addition of 10 Instagram-like filters and a vignette effect before printing. The SQ10 sports a 3-inch TFT colour LCD monitor with approximately 460k dots.
The SQ10 has 3.5 megapixels (1920 x 1920) and has a fixed aperture (F2.4) and focal length 28.5mm (35mm format equivalent).
The photos can be transferred via the microSD card – each gigabyte of memory stores up to 1000 photos.

“ESTC returns this year to simplify and make intelligent business solutions more accessible to every business,” said Tan May Lin, Epson Singapore’s General Manager (Sales, Marketing & Customer Service Division), at ESTC 2016.
The global technology leader in printing, visual communications and digital imaging demonstrated integrated solutions that addressed the varied needs that businesses had in their work processes.
ESTC 2016 is the second edition of Epson’s bi-yearly convention to engage corporate partners and customers to raise awareness on its range of business products and solutions.
A large format printer for the marketing department, showcased at ESTC 2016 in the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at the Marina Bay in Singapore.
Epson showcased new business products ranging from office scanners to its new ultra-short throw interactive projector, mobile point of sales systems and wearable technology such as the Moverio BT-300 smart glasses and BT-2000 smart headset at the convention.
The convention was held today at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre and attended by 153 guests including business partners, end users, media and distributors.

Epson’s showcase offered insights as well as real-life demonstrations on how companies can develop a holistic strategy when investing in technology.
