Event: Acer Announces Swift Edge 16 & Predator Triton 16 Laptops and Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Router at Computex in Taiwan.

Acer announced the launch of the Swift Edge 16 laptop, Predator Triton 16 laptop, and its first eco-friendly Wi-Fi 6E Mesh Router at this year’s Computex, Taiwan’s biggest computing event.

The new Acer Swift Edge 16 laptop helps on-the-go professionals maximise their productivity and creativity demands by combining performance and durability in a lightweight laptop.

Comes with an ultra-thin (12.95mm) and light (1.23kg) magnesium alloy chassis.

16-inch 3.2K OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, and 500 nits peak brightness.

Secured-core PC powered by AMD Ryzen 7040 Series processors, up to AMD Radeon 780M graphics.

The Acer Predator Triton 16 gaming laptop offers vivid, tear-free gameplay on its 16-inch WQXGA panel with thin bezel frames and a fast 240Hz refresh rate.

Powered by the latest 13th Gen Intel® Core processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPUs, and up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM.

Dual 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, Vortex Flow technology, and liquid metal grease showcase advanced cooling capabilities within the laptop’s ultrathin chassis.

The Acer Connect Vero W6m incorporates post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials and features an Eco mode for efficient energy consumption.

It is also the first Wi-Fi 6E mesh router to pass EU EN 303 645 (RED) Cyber Security Standards to provide swift and secure connections within any home or office.

Supports Wi-Fi 6E Triband (2.4 Ghz/5 Ghz/6 Ghz) AXE7800 throughput, the device provides speeds of up to 7.8 Gbps to deliver fast stable internet connections when online.

The Wi-Fi 6E router can also be paired with up to 4 units and features large network ranges of up to 930 m2 on a quad mesh system to help eliminate dead spots in larger coverage areas

The dedicated Eco mode function optimises the router’s power consumption, along with other connected devices by managing their sleep time when not in use

    Do the devices need to be Wi-Fi 6E to connect to the mesh router?

      Yes. client devices need to support the Wi-Fo 6E standard in order to connect to the Acer Connect Vero W6m. Also note that the 6GHz band is limited to indoor use only.
