The new Arlo Pro 5 2K Security Camera is now available in Singapore at S$329.
“The Arlo Pro 5 is one of the most secure and reliable security cameras Arlo has engineered to date. The latest addition to the Pro series, the Arlo Pro 5 2K Security Camera operates off Dual-Band Wi-Fi support, with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz connections allowing users to enjoy faster video loading, and less buffering, so they can see what is happening faster.
“Supporting the overall Pro 5 experience, is the intuitive Arlo Secure app that ensures frictionless access to the most comprehensive monitoring tools available,” said Bradley Little, Arlo Vice President of Sales — APAC.
Users will also welcome significant battery life improvements, with the Pro 5 offering up to 30% longer battery life than the Arlo Pro 4 Security Camera.
Through a paid Arlo Secure subscription (not included), users can take their security to the next level with time-saving automations that can be programmed to trigger events such as geo-fencing, mode changes, schedules, alarms and more.

Battery life is a critical factor for IoT devices. In this commentary, Brian Whitaker at Keysight Technologies examines how battery emulation and test software can help you accurately measure battery life and extend the battery life of an IoT device.
Battery life affects the cost and reliability of IoT-based infrastructure and is a key purchasing consideration for consumer electronic IoT devices.
Battery life can contribute significantly to the cost and reliability of the Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure. While for consumer electronic devices, battery life is often a critical purchase consideration. Therefore, the fact the calculated battery life of IoT devices is often inaccurate is a significant issue for manufacturers.
One method to measure battery life is to divide the battery capacity in amp-hours by the average current drain in amps, which provides a time in hours. However, in the real world, this calculation is overly simplistic.

Samsung has just unveiled its latest flagship series of Android phones comprising three models: Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. These phones will arrive in Singapore on 17 February 2023, with pre-orders beginning today for delivery from 10 February. Prices and introductory promotions below.

Samsung has just unveiled globally two new product series during the February 2023 installment of its biannual Galaxy Unpacked event – the S23 series flagship smartphones and the Book3 series of “ultra” notebooks.

Apple introduces the new Mac mini (starting from S$849) with M2 and the new M2 Pro chip. The new Mac mini with M2 chip starts from an affordable S$849.
The M2 Pro model (top) includes four Thunderbolt 4 ports and support for up to three displays; while the M2 model (bottom) features two Thunderbolt 4 ports and support for up to two displays.
The new M2 Pro chip boasts pro-level performance to Mac mini for the first time, enabling users to run high-performance workflows that were previously unimaginable in such a compact design.
Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro promises faster performance, more unified memory, and advanced connectivity, including support for up to two displays on the M2 model, and up to three displays on the M2 Pro model.
For Intel-based upgraders, Mac mini with M2 promises up to 22x faster machine learning image upscaling performance in Pixelmator Pro.
Customers can order the new Mac mini models beginning Monday, January 30.
