Xiaomi is launching its new Mi 10T smartphone, together with its Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T Lite versions. Also launching is the Mi Watch and Mi 65W Fast Charger with GaN tech.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T and its variants offer good cameras, AdaptiveSync displays, powerful processors and long-lasting batteries.
The prices and availability will be announced at a later date.
All three versions of the Mi 10T phones are 5G-capable and come with dual SIM.
The Mi Watch includes over 100 watch faces, camera remote function, native emojis on notifications and voice control.
Xiaomi is also debuting the Mi Watch – its first smartwatch for the global market.

Oppo has launched in Singapore the Oppo A53 entry-level smartphone, and announced a new variant of the Oppo FindX2 Pro 5G – the Green Vegan Leather Edition.

A large 5000mAh battery is capable of 18W Fast Charge, with Super Power Saving Mode to extend battery life with 5% remaining, and Sleep Standby Optimisation consuming only 2% of the battery to provide 8hrs of standby time overnight.
The Oppo A53 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 460 processor, 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1-based storage, which can be expanded to 256GB through a 3-Card Slot.
The phone comes with Oppo’s first RAM+ Memory Optimisation, an anti-lagging algorithm that is being introduced to Oppo phones for the first time.

Qualcomm has added a new 5G mobile platform to its Snapdragon 7-series, with the Snapdragon 750G enabling global 5G, HDR gaming and on-device AI.

To date, there have been more than 275 designs announced or in development based on Snapdragon 7- series mobile platforms, including 140 5G designs.

As we continue to build out this relatively new tier of our mobile roadmap, we’re always looking for ways to support the growing needs of our OEM customers. Snapdragon 750G delivers a selection of premium mobile features to an even wider audience,” said Kedar Kondap, vice president of product management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
The new Snapdragon 750G features the truly global Qualcomm Snapdragon X52 5G Modem-RF System, which supports both mmWave and sub-6 GHz, SA and NSA modes, TDD, FDD and Dynamic Spectrum Sharing (DSS), and global roaming and global multi-SIM.
This comprehensive modem-to-antenna solution allows devices powered by Snapdragon 750G to support multi-gigabit connections with fast upload and download speeds.
Snapdragon 750G offers select Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming features to allow for smooth, low- latency gameplay for richer entertainment quality.

Galaxy Z Fold2 is the third folding smartphone/tablet hybrid from Samsung, following the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip. Available in Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze from 18 September, 2020, with pre-orders in early September. Prices TBA.

Samsung first announced the Galaxy Z Fold2 during Galaxy Unpacked 2020 in early August, with a few details on the size of the two Infinity-O displays and the two colour options available.
Dress Up the Galaxy Z Fold2
Customised options will be available for users on Samsung.com in select markets with four distinct colors for the hinge: Metallic Silver, Metallic Gold, Metallic Red and Metallic Blue.
The Galaxy Z Fold2 Thom Browne Edition will be available for pre-order beginning September 1, 2020 in select markets with general availability on September 25.
In “Part 2” of Galaxy Unpacked 2020 today, Samsung has just showcased Galaxy Z Fold2 in full, including detailed product specifications, availability and pre-order dates.
Essentially, the Galaxy Z Fold2 gives the user a convertible smartphone/tablet hybrid – offering the compactness of a smartphone for personal communications usage, and the extended screen real-estate of a tablet should the need arise.

Google has launched the Pixel 4a (S$499) which will be available online from 10 September. Pre-orders for the mid-tier smartphone in Singapore begins tomorrow.
The Pixel 4a has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Mobile Platform, Titan M security module for on-device security, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage with an even bigger battery that lasts all day. To the right is a sneak peek at the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5.
The Pixel 4a comes in Just Black with a 5.8-inch bezel-less, OLED display, with a 3.5mm headphone jack, increased storage space of 128GB and 6GB of RAM.
The Google Pixel 4a will ship with the following key features.
- The same camera features from the Pixel 4 – including Live HDR+ Night Sight with astrophotography, Portrait Mode, and Top Shot.
- Note that the Pixel 4a will not have the rear telephoto lens in the Pixel 4.
- A Recorder app which automatically transcribes speech and lets you search across your audio recordings.
- Longer battery life based on Adaptive Battery that adapts to the way users use their apps, and reduces power to apps that are rarely used.
- Live Caption for phone calls.
Together with the launch of the Pixel 4a comes the Pixel 4a knit fabric cases, which combine beauty, lightweight protection and recycled materials.
