Homegrown company myFirst unveiled its latest smartwatch Fone S4 (S$299)and camera with instant printer Insta 20 (S$139). Both available from January 2025, with pre-orders beginning on 27 December 2024.
myFirst’s Fone S4 smartwatch lets kids receive “secret messages” from parents in the form of customised vibration patterns.
The new Fone S4 comes with a slew of new features, includingmagiCode which lets parents use custom vibration patterns as a unique “morse code” system.
Intimate messages like a gentle buzz for “I miss you” offer a meaningful and fun way to stay connected throughout the day.

The Huawei Watch Ultimate Green Edition was unveiled during the Huawei Innovative Product Launch in Barcelona, Spain and introduces Advanced Golf features and enhanced outdoor experiences.
The Huawei WATCH Ultimate Green Edition will be available for pre-order in Singapore starting September 26, 2024 — the date for the APAC launch in Kuala Lumpur. Stay tuned for local prices as I will be attending the launch.
The HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate sports a Zirconium-based liquid metal material case and 100-metre true submersible water resistance, making it Huawei’s first 10 ATM smartwatch under the ISO 22810:2010 standard and with EN13319 certification for diving accessories which supports dives with a maximum depth of 100 metres.
Additionally, it offers up to 14-days of battery life.
The new Green Edition introduces a new Green colourway, an Advanced Golf Course Mode and upgraded Expedition Mode features.

The Huawei Innovative Product launch in Barcelona, Spain introduced a slew of exciting wearables (Huawei GT 5 Series, Huawei Watch D2, and Huawei Watch Ultimate Green Edition) and tablets (Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch and Huawei MatePad Air).

Local kids-tech maker myFirst has launched the Fone R2 smartwatch, Frame Live (10”), Frame Doodle (9”) digital photo frame, and Circle 2.0 social app. Prices below.

The myFirst Fone R2 smartwatch has a 1.3-inch AMOLED screen and is thinner (16%) and lighter (7g) lighter than its predecessor (R1s).

The updated app also features improved location scanning with smart classification, to provide greater safety for children and peace of mind for their parents.
myFirst Circle 2.0 is free and available on Apple AppStore, Google Play and Huawei App Gallery.
For the grandparents at home to keep up with their grandchildren’s activities, myFirst Frame Live (10-inch) and myFirst Frame Doodle (9-inch) enable the former to access the Circles 2.0 app for a personalised feed that enables them to interact with the young ones.

Huawei has unveiled flagship models in two of its product lines – the S$298 FreeBuds Pro 3 earbuds and the S$3,998 Watch Ultimate Design smartwatch.

Huawei is really doubling down on the luxurious watch segment following its launch of the Huawei Watch Ultimate back in August.
Priced at S$1,198, that was already twice the price of the priciest model until that time.
Availability in Singapore
Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 will be available at all Huawei Experience Stores and Huawei Official Stores on Lazada and Shopee from 1 November, with early bird promotions of up to $35 off.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate Design will be in-store for preview and pre-order from 4 November, at Huawei Experience Store (HES) in 313@Somerset.
Pre-order will also be available at Huawei Official Store at Lazada.
Now the new Huawei Watch Ultimate Design has a price tag of S$3,998 – that’s more than three times that of the Huawei Watch Ultimate!
Positioned to be the Gold Standard (literally) with Huawei’s best watch specs, the Huawei Watch Unlimited is made of 18K gold alloy with 75% gold content.
The S$298 Huawei FreeBuds Pro 3 TWS earbuds ships with Pure Voice 2.0, noise cancellation with Intelligent ANC 3.0, and Triple Adaptive EQ.
The FreeBuds Pro 3 is available in Ceramic White, Green, and Silver Frost and is IF54 dust and splash-resistant.

Google has unveiled new Pixel personal devices which will be coming to Singapore: Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones, Pixel Watch 2, and upgraded Pixel Buds Pro. Prices and availability below.
The latest Pixel devices from Google: Pixel 8 (S$1,099) and Pixel 8 Pro (S$1,5549), Pixel Watch 2 (S$525), and upgraded Pixel Buds Pro (S$299).
The new devices were only just announced during the Made by Google event.
The Pixel 8 (S$1,099) and Pixel 8 Pro (S$1,549) leverages AI for a better user experience, powered by the Google Tensor G3 chip.
At today’s Singapore launch of the new Pixel devices from Google.
Sporting metal finishes and recycled materials, the two phones feature bright screens, a temperature sensor and upgraded camera systems.

The sporty Huawei Watch GT 4 will come in two sizes: 46mm (four strap options) and 41mm (three strap options) – with prices ranging from S$298–S$498, depending on the strap. Pre-orders begin 5 October 2023 with the watches hitting the shelves in Singapore on 13 October.
The Huawei Watch GT 4 will come in two sizes and seven strap options.
Unveiled during Huawei’s “Wearable Strategy and New Product Launch” event in Barcelona on 14th September 2023, the Huawei Watch GT 4 will hit Singapore shelves on 13 October, with pre-orders opening on 5 October.
The 46mm version has an octagonal dial design while the 41mm has a round pendant design.
There are four strap options for the bigger version and three for the more dainty version.

The Singapore-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC) gathered the five Singapore companies who will be flying the Singapore flag at IFA 2023 to give sneak previews of the main products that they are showcasing at the annual consumer electronics and home appliances fair.

IFA this year will be from 1-5 September and will include the following five home-grown tech brands from Singapore.

Huawei is launching two new smartwatches this August: WATCH FIT Special Edition (S$128) and WATCH Ultimate (S$1,198). Both will be available in Singapore from 8 August 2023.
The Huawei WATCH FIT (SE) will be available in three colourways – Starry Black, Nebula Pink, and Forest Green.
Huawei sells three tiers of smartwatches catering to different budget levels, offering different features: the BAND series of entry-level health trackers, the FIT series of mid-tier fitness trackers, and the WATCH series of top-tier boutique smartwatches.
The WATCH FIT (SE) is the latest in Huawei’s FIT series, offering a stylish design with a lightweight futuristic exterior, sporting a wide range of health management and smart features, and more than 10,000 pre-designed watch faces.
The WATCH Ultimate extends the flagship series from high performance into the luxurious.
