The new imageCLASS MF515x (S$TBA) enables seamless integration into any print networked environment, while the imageCLASS MF416dw (S$799) ensures fast performance and enhanced user experience. Both models are available in Singapore now.

Canon is launching the imageCLASS MF515x, under a new series in the imageCLASS multi-function line of printers, as well as the imageCLASS MF416dw.

The imageCLASS MF515x comprises is designed to enable greater productivity, with features that include embedded uniFLOW, optional barcode printing, and eMaintenance support.
The imageCLASS MF416dw is equipped to handle large volume print jobs, thereby maximising efficiency for businesses.
Improved productivity and added convenience
Both models support two-sided printing, mobile printing, and flexibility to increase paper input capacity.
Both devices come with auto duplex scanning feature, and is capable of handling a variety of document sizes for fast duplex scanning or copying.
The imageCLASS MF515x also allows a wider scan range of legal-sized documents with its platen glass.
The 3.5-inch Touch Screen LCD Display allows users to navigate through the menu, create shortcuts to access frequent tasks.
The imageCLASS MF416dw prints at 33 ppm, while the imageCLASS MF515x offers a high print speed of 40 ppm.

LG has launched its latest flagship smartphone in Singapore. You can purchase additional modules that can be plugged into the phone to enhance its music, camera handling and other functionalities.

The LG G5 will be available in Singapore on 16 April, 2016, retailing at S$988.
The LG G5 (S$988) comes in titan, pink and gold colours, and will be available at all M1, Singtel, StarHub and authorized LG Mobile retailers.
The LG G5 (S$988) itself comes in a sleek, metal uni-body featuring a Slide-out Battery that can be replaced by other plug-in modules.

These plug-in modules include the LG CAM Plus (a camera grip with battery and control buttons) and LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O PLAY (a DAC adaptor).

Brother has launched in Singapore 3 new mono laser printers and 2 new Multi-Function Centres for business. Available in Singapore now. Prices below.

The five new models are targeted at high print volume office environments.
The new family is the first mono laser range by Brother to print at up to 50 pages per minute (ppm).

This is also the first Brother mono laser series to feature a new heavy duty Automatic Document Feeder with an 80-sheet capacity, a 60% improvement over the previous series.

ASUS has launched in Singapore its two latest Android smartphones. Both the ZenFone Zoom (S$659, sold exclusively with StarHub) and the ZenFone Max (S$249) will be available in Singapore from 10 March. Specs & StarHub price plans below.
“Our customers are discovering creative ways to express themselves with their smartphone cameras and photography apps, from capturing candid moments to sharing selfies and images with family and friends. We are happy to partner ASUS to exclusively bring in the ZenFone Zoom which will be welcome by many photography enthusiasts,” said Wang Li-Na, Head of Product & Marketing, StarHub. The two new smartphones from ASUS are targeted at different types of consumers looking for different strengths in their handsets.
I tried out the ASUS ZenFone Zoom a few weeks prior to its launch in Singapore and the 3x optical zoom in the camera certainly gives it the advantage over regular smartphones relying on digital zoom.

Sony has launched worldwide its flagship camera – the α7R II full-frame mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera, with 42.4-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, in-camera 5-axis image stabilisation, internal 4K video recording, silent shooting and fast hybrid AF.
Available in Singapore from August onwards at S$4,099 (body only).
Sony boasts that the newly-developed 42.4-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor is the most advanced, versatile and highest-resolution full-frame image sensor that Sony has ever created, allowing the α7R II to reach new levels of quality, sensitivity and response speed.
Sony, a worldwide leader in digital imaging and the world’s largest image sensor manufacturer, has today introduced the new flagship full-frame mirrorless camera, the α7R II.
The impressive video credentials of Sony’s new α7R II camera include the ability to record movies in 4K quality (QFHD 3840×2160) in either Super 35mm crop mode or full-frame mode.
The new α7R II features the world’s first back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R™ CMOS sensor, which realises high-resolution (approximately 42.4 effective megapixels), high-sensitivity (expandable up to ISO 102400) and high-speed AF response up to 40 per cent faster than the original α7R, thanks to 399 focal plane phase-detection AF points.
The camera also includes a 5-axis image stabilisation system borrowed from the α7 II model, and has the ability to shoot and record 4K videos in multiple formats including Super 35mm (without pixel binning) and full-frame format, a world’s first for digital cameras.

The new Galaxy Tab S2 comes in 9.7-inch and 8-inch form factors as well as 4G+ and Wi-Fi configurations, with 32GB memory and microSD support up to 128GB.
Prices range from S$598 to S$798 (see below). Black available from 7 August while Gold will be in later August.
At just 5.6mm thin and weighing only 389g (9.7”) and 265g (8.0”), Samsung claims that the Galaxy Tab S2 is the thinnest and lightest tablet of its size in the market, and is packed with powerful performance features to offer enhanced usability, whether for productivity and multitasking, or simply enjoying immersive content anytime, anywhere.
Samsung is targeting users looking for a premium tablet for multimedia entertainment and personal use.
The 4G+ LTE Category 6 capability (for the 4G+ versions) promise users faster Internet access for browsing and downloading content.

Huawei launched its Android flagship smartphone – the P8 – during CommunicAsia2015 and showcased three wearable products – the Huawei TalkBand B2, TalkBand N1 and the Huawei Watch. Prices below.
The Huawei P8 measures 144.9 x 72.1 x 6.4mm and weighs 144g.
Richard Yu, CEO of the Huawei Consumer Business Group introduced the Huawei P8 smartphone for the Southern Pacific Region at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

The three wearable products – the Huawei TalkBand B2, TalkBand N1 and the Huawei Watch (currently under development) – were all launched at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in March 2015.

The 2GB versions of the ZenFone 2 are now available in Singapore, the first country in Southeast Asia to start selling it.
The 4GB RAM versions (with 32GB and 64GB memory) will be available in Singapore from 16 May.
The 32GB model will be available at all ASUS authorised retailers, ASUS brand stores, ASUS online store, M1 and StarHub shops; while the 64GB model will be available at Singtel.
The ZenFone 2 (ZE500CL, ZE550ML) models sport a matte finishing, available in Black, White and Red, while the ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML) encompasses a stunning aluminium hairline metallic finishing available in Black, Gold, Red and Silver.
Singapore is the first country in Southeast Asia to launch the new ASUS flagship smartphone.
