Dell introduces computing solutions optimized for the future workforce

Singapore, February 17, 2016 – Dell today announced a comprehensive range of end-user computing solutions that address the diverse demands of mobile workers and professionals worldwide.

“2015 has been an amazing year for us, so we wish to continue meeting our customers’ most pressing computing needs by bringing together industry-leading solutions to deliver powerful and beautifully-balanced products to our customers,” said Rakesh Mandal, General Manager, Client Solutions, South Asia and Korea, Dell.

Designed to help users stay productive, these solutions bring the latest computing technologies within sleek form factors that meet the needs of a tech-savvy workforce always on the go.

Together with an industry-leading portfolio of software, peripherals and services, Dell is solidifying its position as an end-to-end IT solutions provider, by delivering the most secure, manageable and reliable systems available today.

In partnership with Microsoft and Intel, these systems ship with the new Windows 10 platform and 6th Generation Intel® Core™ processors or the latest Intel® Xeon® processors for mobile workstations, enhancing customers’ everyday experience.

Better Together – Dell and Windows 10

Starting in 2013, Dell began collaborating with Microsoft on developing these new products so they could take advantage of key features offered within Windows 10.

“We are investing in this part of our business like never before, bringing new innovations to market that are redefining the role of the PC – whether it’s an ultra-mobile 2-in-1 or a desktop that now handles workloads for a mobile workforce who require a robust collaboration solution,” added Mandal.

Latest devices are optimized for Windows 10 usage with Continuum, Office Mobile Apps and Microsoft Edge where users can now annotate web pages and share them with anyone for work or entertainment.

Also, Windows 10’s built-in, enterprise-grade security will help companies protect against modern cyber threats, deliver experiences their employees will love and enable continuous innovation with a platform that keeps companies up-to-date with the latest technology.

Businesses will be able to control the frequency of their updates and select the features and functionality that are right for each group of their employees.

Latitude 13 7000, Latitude 12 7000, Latitude 11 5000: Beautiful Design and Features that Impress

The Latitude portfolio was founded upon business-class security, manageability and reliability.

“Our goal at Microsoft is to empower every organization and individual to do more and achieve more. With Windows 10, we are delivering a more personal computing experience across devices with new features while enabling mobility of experiences across devices,” Foong Chee Ngiam, Chief Marketing and Operations Officer, Microsoft Singapore elaborates on this unique partnership.

The entire Latitude 3000, 5000 and 7000 Series has been completely refreshed with thin and light designs, excellent efficiency and powerful processing options.

Dell has elevated its commercial lineup by taking design cues from its highly acclaimed XPS line, so commercial customers can enjoy the same sleek form factor and unique materials that deliver light weight and rigidity throughout the lineup.

With an emphasis on creating beautiful products that people will be proud to carry, the addition of the Latitude 13 7000 Series Ultrabook™, Latitude 12 7000 Series 2-in-1, and Latitude 11 5000 Series 2-in-1 build off of the key pillars that IT demands while offering the high performance needed for today’s fast-paced and demanding work environments.

We are proud that together with Dell, we’re able to bring the familiarity of Windows together with top-notch computing solutions to businesses in Singapore to address the working demands of an ever evolving workplace,” said Foong.

The new Vostro 14 3000 Series (3459) laptop is powered by the energy efficient Intel® processors with up to 6th Generation Core™ i7 performance to deliver up to 9 hours of productivity for the mobile workforce.

It also features a micro-stripe textured cover, making it resistant to scratches from everyday use.

Precision Workstations Boasts More Power

Redesigned inside and out to meet the needs of creative professionals, the new mobile workstations combine the beauty of thinner, lighter industrial designs and brilliant displays with the performance of the latest graphics technology, new processors and faster memory and storage.

“The concept of a future workforce is one that is taking place now. Every day, we see the transformation of teams that are more mobile and seamless – collaborating in a borderless, high-performing environment. Intel technology is critical to this evolution,” said Sameer Tupaki, Head of Marketing, Intel Singapore and Malaysia.

Significant updates have also been made to the entry fixed line of Dell Precision tower solutions to meet the needs of customers who require peak performance at an affordable price.

Enhanced with certifications for professional applications and innovative support, the Precision workstations allows professionals to experience uninterrupted workflow for higher efficiency.

This portfolio makes huge leaps in performance with configuration options including the new 6th Generation Intel® Core™ processors, first Intel® Xeon® processors for mobile workstations and future Intel Xeon processors E3-1200 product families.

The latest professional graphics from AMD and NVIDIA deliver significant compute capacity and best-in-class visual performance.

Innovative new screen options include the first PremierColor 4k Ultra HD displays with 100% minimum Adobe RGB color gamut.

New Dell OptiPlex Desktops Optimize the Modern Workplace

The fully revamped OptiPlex portfolio, the world’s most secure and manageable commercial desktops, changes perceptions about the commercial desktop with its smaller, faster and more energy-efficient Micro Form Factor, Small Form Factor, and Mini Tower designs.

“Devices built with our partner Dell, which feature 6th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, are purpose-built to deliver an impactful experience for business and pleasure with an optimal blend of mobility and performance,” added Tupaki.

The rapidly evolving workforce requires businesses to invest in technology that enables employees to work faster, make better decisions, and be more productive and collaborative.

The Mini Tower is 43 percent smaller than the previous generation and Micro desktops can save more than 7,700 square feet of valuable workspace when replacing 10,000 legacy desktops – this is important as companies are reimagining a more collaborative and future-ready work environment.
