Luno, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Digital Currency Group (“DCG”), has announced the launch of Luno Expeditions, a global, early-stage investment arm to support the best fintech and crypto/web3 founders on their journeys to build the next generation of financial services.

Building on DCG’s 7-year track record in early stage crypto investing, Luno Expeditions will now spearhead all of DCG’s early sage investing (seed and pre-seed).

We’ve got ambitious plans to build a leading fund designed around the needs of early stage founders. The dedicated team will scale up investments (targeting 200-300 per year) and expand the focus beyond crypto into the broader fintech space, globally.
Luno Expeditions will be led by Jocelyn Cheng, who takes on the role of CEO.
Whilst in stealth mode over the past few months, Luno Expeditions has already invested in over 20 leading crypto and fintech companies globally, including a crypto compliance solution in Israel, an NFT marketplace in the United States, a bank dedicated to women in Pakistan and a ground-breaking remittance solution in Tanzania.
Barry Silbert, founder and CEO of DCG, and Marcus Swanepoel, co-founder and CEO of Luno, are both closely involved in the initiative and will be part of the Investment Committee.

Jocelyn Cheng, CEO
Jocelyn has invested in global startup founders over the last 6 years as Managing Director at the impact investment VC, Global Innovation Fund. She previously held investing roles at CPP Investments, Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business school.
Mira Christanto, Director of Investments

Before joining Luno Expeditions, Mira was a senior research analyst at the leading crypto firm Messari. She moved full-time to crypto after working for 15 years at institutional investments funds between Wall Street and Hong Kong.

Aditi is an experienced legal professional with extensive VC experience both in house and at leading legal firms across a number of emerging and developed jurisdictions. She was previously Legal Counsel at Anthemis Group.

Katharine is a seasoned crypto marketer who has worked in the industry over the last 5 years. She joins Luno Expeditions with over 15 years experience in digital marketing, content creation and entrepreneurship across UK, Vietnam & Australia.

Before joining Luno Expeditions, Margaux worked with fintechs and payment partners across Africa for 3 years at Luno. She previously held finance roles at BNP Paribas and worked in France, Portugal and South Africa. She holds a Masters in Corporate Finance from Paris Dauphine.

PRISM+ has launched its first OLED TVs and Soundbars in Singapore. These comprise the PRISM+ 55AL (S$1,699) & 65AL (S$2,799) OLED TVs, and the PRISM+ Symphony (S$699) & Flow (S$249) Soundbars.

The 55AL and 65AL are the first OLED Android TVs from PRISM+, while the Symphony and Flow Soundbars are Dolby Atmos and Dolby Audio enabled respectively.
Homegrown consumer tech brand PRISM+ today announced its latest line-up of home entertainment systems, with the launch of the PRISM+ Alpha (AL) TV Series and the PRISM+ Soundbars.
Pricing and Availability
The PRISM+ AL Series is available for purchase on the PRISM+ online store and all authorised online retailers as of 6PM, 11 March 2022.
The PRISM+ Flow and PRISM+ Symphony will also be available for pre-orders at 6pm on 11 March and are scheduled to ship by the end of March 2022.
The PRISM+ Alpha is the brand’s first foray into the premium OLED display space and will feature two models – the 55AL and 65AL.
In addition, the brand also launched its first generation of audio products.
The PRISM+ Symphony and Flow feature Dolby Atmos spatial audio and Dolby Audio respectively.
Both the OLED Android TV and soundbars will be available for purchase on its online store, as well as its official Lazada stores.

At the Huawei Spring 2022 Smart Office Launch, Huawei announced an enhanced Super Device concept for its Smart Office Scenario, as well as seven new PC products.

At the launch event, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group announced the launch of seven PC products for Smart Office, including: its latest flagship laptop, its first all-in-one PC, a new 2-in-1 laptop, its first E-Ink tablet, a new HarmonyOS tablet, the company’s first-ever printer, and a new portable speaker.

Huawei has announced a slew of seven new products during its Spring 2022 Smart Office Launch online.
He also announced an enhanced Super Device capability to extend support of the feature to projectors.

Singtel today launched Paragon, a platform that enables enterprises to tap into Singtel’s 5G network to activate network slices on demand, deploy mission critical applications on Singtel MEC (multi-access edge compute) as well as access a robust eco-system of partner applications, offering them control and choices.
The platform also empowers enterprises to securely deploy applications in a hybrid fashion across the edge at Singtel MEC and a public cloud of their choice.

FastCo, the company behind FastJobs, one of Asia’s non-executive job portal for both jobseekers and employers, today announced the official launch of its new app FastGig.

The launch of FastGig rides on the recent growth of the gig economy.
FastGig boasts that it is Singapore’s first “workforce as a service” (WaaS) platform that helps to match qualified flexible workers with businesses looking for solutions to headcount constraints and labour shortage, especially during seasonal peaks.
It claims to be one of the first job apps for gig workers in the Southeast Asian region.

Google Pixel 6 (S$999) and Google Pixel 6 Pro (S$1,299) have arrived in Singapore. They are now available exclusively on the Google Store online, together with a selection of phone cases and accessories.

Google Singapore had sent me both the Pixel 6 Pro and the Pixel 6 to try out prior to today’s launch, so I’ve been playing with both phones for a while now.
Both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro ship with Android 12 installed and come with 128GB storage.
Powered by Android 12, Google has given the new phones a new user interface (UI) they call “Material Me”, which provides themed UI skins and widgets that are supposed to be highly customised to your you needs.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro (S$1,299) is available in Stormy Black and Cloudy White with cases (S$49) in Stormy Sky, Soft Sage, Light Frost and Golden Glow.
The phones are powered by Google Tensor, the company’s first processor that’s basically a mobile system on a chip designed specifically around Google’s AI engine.
