The new Q5 Pro (S$459.90) robot vacuum mop and Dyad Air (S$499.90) wet dry vacuum cleaner from Roborock are coming to Singapore on 25 October 2023.

The Roborock Q5 Pro Series features a DuoRoller Brush system to minimise hair tangles and to increase hair removal from carpets by 20%.
With a suction power of 5,500Pa, the Q5 Pro Series has a LiDAR-based navigation system.
The higher-end Q5 Pro+ comes with RockDock Plus auto-emptying dock with E-12 Rated dust bags, storing up to seven weeks of dust without manual emptying.
The Roborock Dyad Air is able to vacuum and mop simultaneously with a suction power of 17,000Pa.

Pre-orders for the new Surface Laptop Studio 2 (S$3,569 to S$5,119) and Laptop Go 3 (S$1,199 to S$1,949) from Microsoft have commenced and will hit the shelves in Singapore on 9 November 2023. Prices and configurations below.
The Surface Laptop Studio 2 offers the versatility to create and the power to perform; while the Surface Laptop Go 3 promises to be the perfect everyday laptop and stage for the latest AI tools from Microsoft and the industry.
Unveiled last month at the Microsoft Surface event, the two new Surface laptops are now available for pre-orders and will be available in Singapore via authorised retailers, Microsoft-authorised stores, and authorised Surface commercial resellers.
Compared to its predecessor, the Surface Laptop Studio 2 is now has 2x more power with 13th Gen Intel Core H-class processors built on the Intel Evo platform, and 2x more graphics performance with the latest NVIDIA laptop GPUs for AI accelerated performance.
The Surface Laptop Go 3 features new colors in Ice Blue, Sage, Sandstone, and Platinum and is bolstered by Windows’ centralised AI assistant, Copilot.

OPPO just held the global launch of the flagship Find N3 phones in Singapore. The Find N3 (S$2,399) foldable phablet and Find N3 Flip (S$1,499) phone will hit the shelves in Singapore on 28 October 2023, with pre-orders starting tomorrow (19 Oct) at 11am.
The new Find N3 series from OPPO comprising the Find N3 foldable phablet and Find N3 Flip phone.
The Find N3 foldable phablet has a 6.3-inch outer screen and a 7.8-inch unfolded screen with resolutions exceeding 425 pixels per inch.
The dynamic refresh rate ranges from 1-120Hz with peak brightness at 2,800 nits.
The OPPO Find N3 (S$2,399) phablet comes with 16GB RAM / 512GB storage and is available in Champagne Gold and Classic Black.
It has three speakers to provide stereo sound in both horizontal and vertical orientation.
The third-generation Flexion hinge has been tested to withstand one million folding/unfolding.

The Leica ZM 11 will be retailing at €6,800 for the Leica ZM 11 Steel (paired with rubber or fabric band); and €8,150 for the Leica ZM 11 Titanium with full titanium band, including VAT. Available only at Leica Store Raffles Hotel Arcade from 23rd November 2023.
The ZM 11 Collection comprises three timepieces with the choice of three band options: the ZM 11 Titanium Launch Edition, limited to 250 watches, with a black and red dial; the ZM 11 Titanium Coffee Black with a warm-black dial; and the ZM 11 Steel Midnight Blue with a blue and black dial.
The new ZM 11 is engineered by Leica’s partner Chronode, the Swiss movement developer.
The automatic Leica Calibre LA-3001 has a precision of -4/+6 seconds per day and 60 hours of run time.
The ZM 11 is measured in five positions for accuracy at all times, and is adorned with 35 jewels.

The new Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 (S$38) will hit the shelves in Singapore on 20 October 2023.
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 will be available in Black or White and will be available from local telecommunication operators, Samsung Online Store, Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Official Store on Lazada and Shopee, and major consumer electronics & IT stores.
Galaxy SmartTag2’s brand-new Lost Mode allows users to input their contact information via a message.
Anyone who discovers an item with a Galaxy SmartTag2 attached can use their smartphone to scan the tag and see the owners’ message and contact information.
New Modes Mean Longer-Lasting Battery
Users can now enjoy Galaxy SmartTag2 for longer with the brand-new Power Saving Mode, available alongside an improved Normal mode.
For users who rely on SmartTag to continually track items, Power Saving Mode is the perfect option to maintain battery life while ensuring you can keep an eye on your things.
With Power Saving Mode, Galaxy SmartTag2’s battery now lasts up to 700 days, more than twice as long as previous Galaxy SmartTag models.
Even in Normal Mode, battery life is now extended to 500 days, a 50% increase on previous models. With the flexibility to switch between two modes, users can track their valuables – from car keys to bikes – for longer.
This means a Galaxy SmartTag2 attached to a pet’s collar is now a convenient way to ensure the pet owner’s phone number is always there, in most places where the pet might wander.

The sporty Huawei Watch GT 4 will come in two sizes: 46mm (four strap options) and 41mm (three strap options) – with prices ranging from S$298–S$498, depending on the strap. Pre-orders begin 5 October 2023 with the watches hitting the shelves in Singapore on 13 October.
The Huawei Watch GT 4 will come in two sizes and seven strap options.
Unveiled during Huawei’s “Wearable Strategy and New Product Launch” event in Barcelona on 14th September 2023, the Huawei Watch GT 4 will hit Singapore shelves on 13 October, with pre-orders opening on 5 October.
The 46mm version has an octagonal dial design while the 41mm has a round pendant design.
There are four strap options for the bigger version and three for the more dainty version.

The Leica SOFORT 2 (S$580) is now available at the official Leica Singapore stores and authorised dealers in black or white. The red variation is only available through the Leica Online Store from 9 November.
The SOFORT 2 is Leica’s second iteration of the instant camera.
The Leica SOFORT 2 is able to save the digital photos it captures permanently.
The hybrid camera can print selected photos it takes as well as photos on your smartphone and those captured with other Leica cameras which are stored in the gallery of the Leica FOTOS app.
Accessories for the Leica SOFORT 2 include stylish wooden picture frames for displaying prints, wrist straps, carrying straps, bags and various other accessories.
Pulling the manual printing lever on the SOFORT 2 begins printing on instax Mini format photo paper.

The Xiaomi 13T Series is in Singapore, with prices ranging from S$699 (Xiaomi 13T) to S$1,099 (Xiaomi 13T Pro).
Xiaomi 13T Pro and Xiaomi 13T will be available in three color options: Alpine Blue, Meadow Green, and Black.
Both the Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro sport a triple camera setup featuring Summicron lenses co-engineered with Leica.
These include a 50MP wide angle camera with 24mm equivalent focal length and a 7P aspherical lens designed to capture more light supporting high dynamic range shooting, a 50MP telephoto lens with 50mm equivalent focal length, and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 15mm equivalent focal length.

Who hasn’t dreamt of visiting New York City at least once in their lifetime? Catherine Zhang was in NYC for three days this summer. She shares with us her sojourn in the Big Apple.

The city might seem overwhelming at first, with the raging crowds, endless skyscrapers and the plethora of attractions you can visit.
Having only three days between my summer programme in Ithaca and volunteering at an animal sanctuary in the Amazon jungle in Peru, I was spoilt for choice on which sights to see on my first visit to NYC.
The Empire State Building
My favourite sight was the Empire State Building. An iconic feature of the NYC skyline, it towers over most of the other skyscrapers in Manhattan.
Despite its popularity, I was able to easily book a timeslot online to visit the building just the day before.

The first few floors feature a museum commemorating the cultural importance of the building, including a gallery of the various movies – from King Kong to Superman to Independence Day – which have featured the Empire State in one way or another.
However, the highlight of the building is easily the 86th floor observatory, where I was able to catch a beautiful view of NYC at sunset.
The thing is, you might forget how beautiful NYC is when you’re down on the ground jostling with hundreds of tourists and seeing the skyscrapers stretch out endlessly above. It is so easy to feel lost in a city so big and bustling with the stories of hundreds of other people.
But when you’re up high, looking down at the lights of the city that never sleeps, then it’s easy to see why so many singers, movie makers and artists have been captivated by its fast-paced charm and charisma.
