Singapore Motorshow 2023 returns after a three year hiatus. In partnership with Mediacorp and sponsored by HL Bank, AIG and Motul, the show will be held at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre with 25 participating brands.

The Singapore Motorshow 2023 will showcase new car models, concept cars, electric and electrified vehicles; as well as the Russ Swift stunt car performances; and the chance to meet Mediacorp celebrities.
With a key focus on sustainable driving, visitors can look forward to a variety of EV and Hybrid Electric Vehicles from brands such as the 100% electric-driven and pro-sustainability Polestar, Nissan, and MINI etc.

From 13 – 15 January 2023, visitors can look forward to special appearances by Mediacorp celebrities such as Pierre Png, Rebecca Lim, Elvin Ng, Kym Ng, and He Ying Yin etc. Radio DJs Kun Hua and Hazelle from Yes 933 will also be at Honda’s booth.
Subaru will also be featuring a cutaway display of their Extraordinary SUV Forester and Hyundai will be having a charity bidding session at the upcoming show with their “IONIQ 5 4WD LR INSPIRATION”.
#t4tSgMotorshow2023: The #SingaporeMotoshow returns after a three year hiatus. Here’s Glen Tan – Dy Chairman and MD, Tan Chong – kicking off the show which will last until Sunday(15 Jan).
In its seventh installment, the Singapore Motorshow is presented by the Motor Traders Association of Singapore (MTA) in partnership with Mediacorp.

Visitors with a general public ticket will stand a chance to win the Subaru Impreza 5D 2.0i-S Eyesight AWD CVT worth S$90,800 (without COE), or Nissan Kicks e-POWER Premium worth S$76,800 (without COE).
The four-day event will be held across two levels (3 and 4) of the Suntec Convention Hall, and expect 50,000 visitors.

Bigo Live, the Singapore-based global livestreaming platform, held the fourth edition of its annual flagship event, the BIGO Awards Gala 2023.

Making a return to its physical format after a two-year virtual presence, the BIGO Awards Gala 2023 was held at Singapore’s historic Capitol Theatre on Saturday, 7 January 2023.
The ceremony was attended by 1,000 people who flew into the island state from North and South America, Europe, Southeast and South Asia.
Over 270 Bigo Live broadcasters and close to 100 Bigo Live families were acknowledged and honoured.
The event was livestreamed on the Bigo Live platform and saw close to 4 million viewers tuning in globally, doubling the viewership from last year.

Singapore’s iconic tech entrepreneur, Sim Wong Hoo, died yesterday (4 January, 2023), aged 67. RIP.

Sim Wong Hoo has won accolades from industry and government for his innovations and entrepreneurship. Photo: Creative Technology.
Sim Wong Hoo co-founded Creative Technology with Ng Kai Wa in 1981 and has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Office since inception.
Following Sim’s demise, the Board of Creative Technology has, during this transition period, appointed Lee Kheng Nam, Lead Independent Non-Executive Director, as acting Chairman, and Ng Kai Wa, Independent Non-Executive Director, as acting Vice Chairman.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro is the first Huawei smartphone to run on EMUI 13, which streamlines everyday interactions with simple one-touch controls.
Only the black and silver version of the Mate 50 Pro, with 256GB storage and 2m water resistance will be available in Singapore.
The orange version with kunlun glass, 512GB storage and 6m water resistance will not be coming to Singapore.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro flagship smartphone features an Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera, while the Huawei MatePad SE is a personal and home entertainment tablet.
Huawei has two flagship smartphone series – the photography-strong P series which launches in the first half of each year, and the video-strong Mate series which launches in the second half.

DPM Heng Swee Keat reiterated the importance of innovation to help the nation overcome the “Iron Triangle” of healthcare – cost, accessibility and quality. He was addressing the attendees of CHI Innovate 2022 via a recorded speech to open the annual flagship conference for the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI).

Heng Swee Keat is the Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies.
Noting that innovation is key to overcoming the “iron triangle” of cost, accessibility and quality of healthcare, DPM Heng said that just as important as research and innovation is the translation of innovation into impact – which corresponded with the theme for this year’s CHI Innovate: “The Road from Innovation to Impact”.
DPM shared three ways of achieving greater impact in healthcare innovation.
- Innovation at the systems level
- Innovation in the use of technology
- Fostering an innovative workplace culture

The Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI), part of Tan Tock Seng Hospital, today held its annual flagship event – CHI Innovate 2022 – with the theme “The Road from Innovation to Impact”.

The CHI Innovate 2022 will discuss how healthcare innovations can be up-sized, re-focused and made more engaging, to deliver better value and impact to the people served.
More than 500 healthcare professionals participated in this year’s CHI Innovate, an annual thought leadership forum by local and overseas healthcare leaders on creating the future of healthcare together.
Urgency for Innovation
Healthcare systems worldwide will continue to face challenges presented by an ageing population, the prevalence of chronic diseases and a tight workforce.
Stressing the need to balance the “Iron Triangle” of healthcare framed by cost, accessibility and quality, the Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, Heng Swee Keat, underlined the urgency for healthcare institutions to embrace innovation together to tackle the challenges.
The Guest of Honour for the event is Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies.
Keynote Speaker is Dr Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications & Information and Ministry of Health.
Pursuing Excellence- National HIP
This year, there were nearly 100 submissions for the National Healthcare Innovation and Productivity (HIP) Medals, an award sponsored by the Ng Teng Fong Healthcare Innovation Programme and supported by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Eight winning projects are recognised for their excellence in Care Redesign, Automation, IT and Robotics Innovation, Workforce Transformation, and Adoption.

The Canon EOS R6 Mark II replaces its predecessor which will stop production.

The full-frame camera adds a number of video production features to make it useful for both still photography and videos.
