Microsoft Windows 8 Upgrade Offer
Saturday, June 2nd, 2012Microsoft’s Steven Sinofsky has just announced at its annual sales meeting that customers will be able to get Windows 8 on 26 October, 2012. This will be available both as an upgrade or on a new PC.
Wonder if the Surface will be available at the same date?
Microsoft has announced that users who are currently running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 will qualify to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for US$39.99. Local pricing TBA.
Windows Media Center will also be available as a free option via the “add features” option within Windows 8 Pro after the upgrade.
This upgrade offer will be available in 131 markets and will run through 31 January 2013.

Thursday, April 5th, 2012Norton has unveiled the findings of its latest survey which provides insights into Singaporeans’ Internet dependence, the importance of their personal information and their level of understanding when it comes to Internet security.

Last year, Norton did an interesting survey that revealed that phone owners in Singapore were willing to pay an average of S$148 to get their lost/stolen phones back, in order to alleviate the stress and inconvenience losing their mobile phones.
About the Norton Mobile Survey
This year’s online survey was conducted in February 2012 by The Leading Edge, an independent market research firm on behalf of Norton by Symantec.
The Leading Edge conducted the survey among a sample size of 500 online adults between the ages of 18 and 64 years, within each of the following five markets: Singapore, China, Japan, India and Australia.
Singapore’s sample online size comprised 51% female and 49% male.

The Samsung SLATE PC Series 7 can be used as a tablet or be used as a desktop.
