The new PRO TREK PRW-6000 series is now optimised with hand-concealment and advanced sensor functions for greater readability, operability and wearability. Prices range from S$549 to S$999. Available from July 2014.
Available starting from July 2014, the new Casio PRO TREK PRW-6000 Series is found at all G-FACTORY and G-FACTORY Premium stores across Singapore.
Casio Singapore is welcoming a brand new PRW-6000 series to its PRO TREK range of high-performance timepieces designed to be the outdoor adventure companion.
Prices
The PRO TREK PRW-6000 series comes in Black x Orange (PRW-6000Y-1) and Black x Green (PRW-6000-1A) with a carbon fibre band, and will be sold at a Suggested Retail Price of S$629.
It will also be available in Black x Silver (PRW-6000-1) with a resin band at S$549, and a premium titanium band version (PRW-6000-YT), sold at S$999.
The new series has a hand-concealment function for a clearer view of digital display and Casio’s latest Triple Sensor Ver.3 technology for optimal outdoor performance.
The PRW-6000 is specially crafted for easy readability and wearability.
It comes fitted with a wider LCD screen and an innovative function to move the dials away temporarily for an unblocked view of sensor data when needed.
Its light 73g weight and sleek 12.8mm profile makes it the slimmest in the PRO TREK range, providing maximum comfort for the wearer and ease of wrist movement and agility.

Here are the local pricing, availability and promotions for the new Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet in Singapore.
Prices start from S$1,108 with availability expected before the end of August 2014.
Update (6 August, 2014):
Microsoft has just announced that the Surface Pro 3 will be available for purchase at retail outlets and commercial resellers on 28 August in Singapore.
Customers can pre-orders for Surface Pro 3 now at the Microsoft Store online, as well as at authorized retailers Challenger, Newstead and Harvey Norman.
The Microsoft Suface Pro 3 tablet is now available for pre-order online now.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 was unveiled last month in New York City.
Here are the tech specs for the Windows tablet that promises to be a replacement for laptops and is targeted for both personal and business use.
Surface Pro Type Cover features a double-fold hinge enabling you to magnetically lock it to the display’s lower bezel.

The all-flash storage pioneer addresses Tier 1 disk use cases and mission critical environments with new Replication, Snapshot and Policy Management Services.
The comprehensive new FlashArray family lineup promises to put the power and promise of ‘Instant Infrastructure’ within reach of every enterprise.
The company also unveiled expanded the existing FlashArray offering to target SMBs as well as large enterprises, organisations and datacenters.
“To keep pace with rapidly evolving infrastructure requirements, enterprises are now looking for greater scalability, simplicity and efficiency from their storage solutions than ever before,” said Tim Stammers, senior analyst at 451 Research.
The current FA-420 FlashArray has been supplemented with the entry-level FA-405 and high-capacity FA-450 FlashArrays.
The new Purity Operating Environment, Purity 4.0 features FlashRecover, a set of fully integrated, space-efficient replication, snapshot, and policy management services that offer comprehensive protection against disaster and data loss — both locally, and globally.
With these advancements, the Pure Storage FlashArray more fully supports mission critical workloads and Tier 1 storage use cases, eliminating the need for enterprises to continue making investments in legacy storage solutions powered by mechanical disk.

Huawei has unveiled a slew of mobile devices, launching premium handset range Honor 3X, world’s slimmest 7-inch tablet MediaPad X1, Mobile WiFi Miao Wang and home entertainment device MediaQ.

The home entertainment device MediaQ is one of four devices Huawei launched in Singapore.
All the new devices are available in Singapore now, except for the 4G version of the MediaPad X1, which will be available in June 2014.

Intel NUC powered by Intel Atom Processor E3815
Intel’s “Thin Canyon” NUC
Intel today launched the newest offering in its Next Unit of Computing (NUC) product line – the first to be powered by an Intel Atom E3815 processor (based on the company’s “Bay Trail” architecture).
The new NUC, model DE3815TYKH, is designed with thin client applications in mind.
It features a fan-less design, on board eMMC memory, and the space savings of a 4”x4” motherboard.
With the ability to directly power a LCD monitor through an onboard eDP connector, the new NUC is a great solution for kiosks, point-of-sale and digital signage.
It also is expected to be relevant to the space-constraints of modern Asia’s urban homes.
The new product is available in distribution starting today.
