Sony has announced that its new Cyber-shot RX 100 II, Cyber-shot RX1R cameras will be available in Singapore from August 2013, while the HVL-F43M external flash will be available in July.
Update (1 July, 2013):
Sony has announced the pricing for its new Cyber-shot RX 100 II (S$999) and Cyber-shot RX1R (S$3,999) cameras.
From today, the retail price of the DSC-RX100 has been reduced to S$849 (from S$999).

Sony’s new 20,2MP Cyber-shot RX 100 II (left) and 24.3MP Cyber-shot RX1R (right) cameras will be available in Singapore from August 2013 onwards.
The Cyber-shot RX1R is a new full-frame compact camera and is the sister version of the Cyber-shot RX1.

Sony Cyber-shot RX1R is a S$3,999 full-frame compact camera with 24.3 megapixels and Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* F2 lens.
It has 24.3 effective megapixels and a Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* F2 lens.
The RX1R removes the optical low-pass filter (OLPF) found in front of the RX1’s sensor, enabling flawless capture of fine details without any distortions.
This makes it ideal for taking landscape and other high-detail scenes.
The camera’s compatibility with TRILUMINOS Colour technology ensures richer, more natural colours when viewing stills and video on the latest generation of BRAVIA televisions with TRILUMINOS Display.

Sony Cyber-shot RX100 II comes with 20.2 megapixels, Wi-Fi and NFC. S$999.
The new Cyber-shot RX100 II builds on the popular Cyber-shot RX100, with enhanced picture quality and convenient new features such as Wi-Fi and easy One-touch smartphone connection with NFC.
The RX100 II possesses increased sensor sensitivity with 20.2 effective megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R 1.0-type CMOS sensor, delivering DSLR-style shots regardless of the shooting situation.

Olympus has unveiled two new cameras and three new lenses for Photokina 2012 (18-23 September). At the same time, it is consolidating all its compact cameras under the new STYLUS branding.
None of the pricing is available yet.

This Thursday, the third of four large annual IT exhibitions in Singapore will kick off at Suntec Singapore. For four days from 30 August to 2 September, the COMEX will open from 12 noon to 9 pm (Admission FREE).

COMEX 2012, 30 August to 2 September, 12 noon to 9pm, Levels 3, 4 and 6. Admission FREE.
COMEX 2012 will be held on three Levels – 3, 4 and 6 of Suntec Singapore. With more than 830 exhibitors, COMEX claims to be Singapore’s biggest IT and consumer technology exhibition.

The Soft Plus 43 helps to achieve an extra softness to photographs taken by diffusing the light before it reaches the reflective silver panels of Square 43.

Soft Plus 43 is an attachment for Gami Light’s existing Square 43 flash photography accessory.
The Square 43 retails separately at S$75.
The Soft Plus 43 can also be used on an individual flash for off-camera shooting.
By attaching it onto Square 43, the size of Square 43 reduces dramatically and fits easily into a bag.
Weighing a mere 0.1kg, it makes a nifty, lightweight addition to any inspiring photographer’s bag of tools.

Designed in Japan, the Di866 Mark II (S$499) is compatible with Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras. Customers buying any Nissin product at the RedDotPhoto Booth (6A18) during SITEX 2011 (24-27 November) will receive a free Lenspen LP-1.
The LP-1 is a lens cleaning pen for cleaning camera lenses, binocular lenses, spotting scopes, telescopes, eyepieces and other optical lenses.
The Nissin Di866 Mark II professional camera flash (S$499) has a powerful guide number of 60 and sub flash of 12 (ISO100, 105mm), as well as a colour display with rotation sensor.
