Rakuten Kobo launches subscription service in Singapore which gives avid readers unlimited access to Kobo’s library of over 2 million eBooks and 300,000 audiobooks at an affordable monthly fee. Prices below.

Digital reading retailer and publisher Rakuten Kobo today launched Kobo Plus in Singapore.
Avid readers and book lovers across Singapore – including more than 300,000 existing Kobo members – can now access Kobo Plus via the Kobo Books App for iOS or Android and directly on Kobo eReaders to begin discovering new authors and genres.
The service has three subscription plan offers:
● Kobo Plus Read: Unlimited eBooks for SGD 9.99 per month.
● Kobo Plus Listen: Unlimited audiobooks for SGD 9.99 per month.
● Kobo Plus Read and Listen: Unlimited eBooks and audiobooks for SGD 12.99 per month.

Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan – with Photoshop CC and the new Photoshop Lightroom CC – is now available across desktop and mobile for S$13 per month.
All existing Photography and Creative Cloud complete plan members are able to access the new version of Lightroom CC today – at no extra charge.
The new Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC promises fast performance and new tools to edit, enhance, organise and showcase photos.
Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan (S$13 per month) includes Lightroom CC across desktop, web and mobile, Photoshop CC and Photoshop Mix (for iPhone and iPad).
A free 30-day trial version of Lightroom CC is also available.
All products are also available as part of Creative Cloud complete plan.
With Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC, Adobe Creative Cloud Photography includes mobile capabilities – automatically syncing photos with Lightroom CC on the desktop, while Lightroom on mobile devices lets users access and edit their entire catalog of photos on iPad, iPhone as well as Android smartphones and tablets.
Creative Cloud Photography is making the transition for digital photography from a traditional desktop-based process to a more mobile, connected workflow for digital images.

The new mio TV GO is mio TV’s companion app. It is free and is now available for download (for both Apple and Android devices).
Real time commentary and shout box as the match plays.
mio TV GO includes features such as the ‘LIVE” streaming of selected mio TV channels, locally-produced shows to enhance the BPL-viewing experience, remote control function, and remote recording feature.
‘LIVE’ screening of ten channels including mio Stadium
The app will allow BPL subscribers on the mio TV platform to enjoy ‘LIVE’ streaming of three mio Stadium channels (Channel 102 -104), three mio Sports channels (Channel 111 – 113) and four Asian channels.
Although it’s free to download the mio TV GO app, some of the features are only available to customers on the mio TV platform.
These include mobile streaming of the matches and a new locally produced show which keeps users updated on what’s happening on other channels when concurrent matches are being played.
With mio Stadium, customers can catch ‘LIVE’ Barclays Premier League (BPL) matches on their mobile phones and tablets and enjoy a groundbreaking locally-produced studio show.
Catch ‘LIVE’ matches of UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and other football matches available on mio Sports.
Fans of Asian content can also watch Jia Le Channel, ETTV Asia, ETTV Yoyo and Jiangsu Satellite Channel on mio TV GO.
Content subscription fee of $5 per month will be waived till May 2014.

SingTel says the majority of BPL customers unaffected. The existing mio TV Gold Packs are still available from SGD$64.90.
Football fans regardless of pay-TV platform can call the mio TV hotline on 1609 from Thursday, 1 August 2013 to subscribe; or they can get more information and register their interest at www.miotv.com.sg/bpl.
mio TV has unveiled its packages and prices for the upcoming season of Barclays Premier League (BPL) broadcast in Singapore, after MDA’s decision that mio TV does not have to cross-carry channels included in its BPL Gold Packs.
