New arrivals: Sony PlayStation Vita Wi-Fi model hits Singapore on 14 November

The new slimmer and lighter PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) Wi-Fi model (PCH-2006 series) will be in Singapore from 14 November. RRP: S$299.

So Sony is having a press conference for the PlayStation 4 in Singapore in an hour’s time. Looking forward to the new gaming console that’s priced at US$399 in the US.

The new PS Vita system will come in six different colors of “Black” (shown here), “White”, “Lime green/White”, “Light blue/White”, “Pink/Black” and “Khaki/Black”.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 Charity taco truck raises S$7,500

The roving charity taco truck from EA Mobile raised S$7,500 over a period of four days – to be donated to Club Rainbow Singapore.

Club Rainbow Singapore is a charity committed to providing help to children who are suffering from a range of chronic and life-threatening illnesses.

Life-sized zombie and plant mascots handed out tacos from the truck, which was parked at three locations from 5 – 8 September to the delight of both fans and on-looking visitors.

The three locations were Mapletree Business City, Cineleisure Orchard and Sentosa Beach Station.

Sony PlayStation Vita price cut to S$299 in Singapore from Friday

From 23 August (Friday), the retail price of the PlayStation Vita system will be reduced to S$299. This is a substantial reduction from the current prices for both the Wi-Fi model (S$399) and the 3G/Wi-Fi model (S$469).

Two days from now, the Sony PlayStation Vita will be available in Singapore at S$299 for both the Wi-Fi (S$399) and the 3G/Wi-Fi (S$469) versions.

PopCap Games launches Plants vs. Zombies 2 worldwide

More than eight million correct answers on Skoolbo

Children from all over the world have correctly answered more than 8 million questions on Skoolbo since its release in June. Average improvement rates are exceeding 22%.

The free Skoolbo is the world’s largest educational game and currently targets literacy and numeracy for 4 to 10 year olds.

Skoolbo is increasing users by more than 10% a week with many schools using the program in their class activities.
