Dell Technologies introduces new offerings to help customers quickly and securely build generative AI (GenAI) models on-premises to accelerate improved outcomes and drive new levels of intelligence.
“Dell’s AI solutions offers enterprises the potential to right-size their GenAI efforts and help streamline operations as customers look to quickly deliver products and services across industry-specific use cases. Dell held a pre-embargo briefing last week prior to the official announcement today.
Here’s a quick summary:
- Dell Generative AI Solutions include a new suite of Dell products and services, in collaboration with NVIDIA, to help businesses gain real-time insights and enable innovation through intelligence.
- Dell Validated Design for Generative AI with NVIDIA offers pre-tested and proven Dell infrastructure, software and services to power transformative business outcomes with GenAI.
- Dell Professional Services help customers with strategy, implementation and scaling to accelerate GenAI adoption.
- Dell Precision workstations, with expanded NVIDIA GPU configurations, help users accelerate GenAI workloads locally on the device.

PICO has announced its sponsorship as the Official VR Headset Partner for the inaugural Olympics Esports Week (OEW). For the first time, the PICO 4 VR headset will be used in the main virtual taekwondo competition.
Programming of Olympic Esports Week will be available on demand on the PICO Video app.
The first event of its kind is created by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and will be taking place in Singapore between 22 and 25 June 2023, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, Sport Singapore and the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC).

This combines Singapore company Refract Technologies’ proprietary real-time full-body motion tracking system AXIS with the PICO 4 VR headset to deliver a groundbreaking VR adaptation of the traditional Korean martial art.
Virtual Taekwondo was created by Refract in partnership with World Taekwondo as an innovative game that will captivate participants and spectators alike, showcasing the incredible potential of VR in the world of sports.
In addition, PICO will be offering the programming of Olympic Esports Week on the PICO
Video app, providing viewers with the opportunity to enjoy the action on demand.

Canon is launching its lightest mirrorless camera and thinnest RF lens. The EOS R100 mirrorless camera (S$729, body only) and the RF28mm f/2.8 STM pancake lens (S$459) will be available in Singapore on 20 June and 4 July 2023 respectively.
The S$729 EOS R100 camera body is also available as part of a S$889 kit bundled with the RF-S18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
The EOS R100 mirrorless camera will be Canon’s smallest, lightest and most affordable EOS R system camera to date.
The RF28mm f/2.8 STM is the company’s first “pancake” prime lens in the RF lens lineup.
