Hyundai Motor Group will share its vision of a Smart City through innovative and sustainable urban mobility at SITCE 2022, which will take place from today (2 November 2022) to Friday (4 November).

At the exhibition booth, the Hyundai Motor Group presents how its advanced mobility innovations can evolve and contribute to the sustainable growth in urban city in the future by exhibiting its series of mobility solutions. Visitors can experience and get a glimpse of the future smart city which the Group envisions.
Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS), Hyundai Rotem Company and Motional are jointly participating in the 3-day Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition (SITCE) at Suntec Convention Centre (Hall 4F).
“We are pleased to participate in the SITCE 2022 for the first time. SITCE is an ideal moment to envision the future smart city towards humanity’. HMGICS will continue to explore smart future mobility innovations and ecosystem by sustainably growing together with Singapore. The variety of HMGICS’ unique innovative mobility solutions with advanced technology & innovations showcases our strong commitment to realise this vision”, said Hong Bum Jung, Chief Executive Officer of HMGICS.
The theme for the Smart City vision is “ Revolutionizing Urban Mobility in the City of the Future” – where innovative urban mobility solutions enrich a better and more sustainable city living in Singapore.
Visitors can learn about the evolution of last mile mobility solutions in the smart transport and sustainable mass transport in the city of the future, connecting people with their daily lives with ease and seamless experience.
On display will be the “IONIQ 5” electric vehicle, “E-PIT” fast charger, “Hydrogen Fuel Cell Tram”, and “Robotaxi” autonomous vehicle, as well as other innovations on future mobility from HMGICS.

Hyundai Motor Group today celebrated the finale of its first open innovation competition for Singaporean youth at the School of Science and Technology (SST).

The competition theme presented business cases and design ideas for Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV).
“HMGICS is pleased to hold our first open innovation competition for Singaporean youth. HMGICS will continue to explore smart future mobility innovations by growing together with Singapore. This open innovation competition program for Singapore youth showcases our strong commitment to realize this vision. We also believe the work experience with SST will continue to help future growth of Singaporean youth in science & engineering for the sustainable future innovation in Singapore”, said Hong Bum Jung, Chief Executive Officer of HMGICS.
Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS), with the aim of better engaging Singaporean youth in the Group’s future mobility innovation, held the competition beginning this May.
The participating schools were River Valley High school, United World College, and the School of Science and Technology.
A total of 17 teams participated in the competition.
The Guest of Honor, Minister for Transport and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, S Iswaran presented the awards to the winning teams.
With four evaluation criteria (Social Impact, Creativity of Solution, Technical Accomplishment, Business Development), SST Team 2 won 1st place and was awarded vouchers and the work opportunity at HMGICS.
As part of the 3-month long competition, participating students received mentorships and lectures on the mobility industry, engineering design, and business.

The Singapore leg of the Toyota GAZOO Racing Gran Turismo Cup (TGR GT Cup) Global series resumes this year on Gran Turismo 7 on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This is the fourth installment of the global SIM racing competition and the third iteration of the Singapore edition.

This year the competition features a selection of Toyota GR lineups, in which players will get to push their limits through renowned circuits and experience the thrill of racing. This includes the nostalgic Toyota Supra GT500 ’97 (Castrol TOM’S) model.
The Semi-Finals and Finals will be held on 4 September 2022, with winners advancing to the TGR GT Cup ASIA 2022 online on 9 October 2022.
“Since 2020, Borneo Motors Singapore has brought to life the thrill of experiencing motorsports races to local e-sports enthusiasts with our Toyota GAZOO Racing GT Cup. We look forward to hosting yet another exciting year of the race in Singapore and through this competition, we hope that Toyota is able to make motorsports more accessible and enjoyable across generations,” shares Samuel Yong, Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Strategy at Borneo Motors Singapore.
The TGR GT Cup Singapore 2022 commenced with Qualifiers on 13 August 2022, with more than 36 participants to date.
Eventually, only 24 of the fastest competitors will advance to the Semi-Finals.
During the Semis, two groups of 12 racers will compete in two races per group, with the top six racers from each group going into the Finals.
In the Finals, racers will compete in three races, with the overall top three competitors getting onto the podium.
Through this competition, Toyota hopes to make e-motorsports accessible by providing opportunities for racing enthusiasts to experience the thrill of racing Toyota GR cars
on iconic circuits.

The new Kona N is the latest addition to Hyundai’s high performance N brand and seeks to meld racetrack prowess with the versatility of a utility vehicle. Hyundai Motor will be expanding the N and N Line lineup to 18 models through 2022.

Kona N is not only the latest addition to Hyundai’s growing high-performance N lineup but is also the first N model with an SUV body style.
Hyundai Motor Company today unveiled the all-new KONA N as well as its high-performance philosophy and ambition for sustainable driving fun at Hyundai N Day, a digital showcase dedicated to introducing Hyundai’s N Brand.
“We are thrilled to share the mindset, spirit and vision of the N brand to be a leader in the high-performance category powered by traditional internal combustion engines as well as our proven industry-leading battery electric and fuel cell electric vehicle technologies. The Korean company plans to enhance the e-performance of its N brand with BEV and hydrogen fuel cell powertrains.

Hyundai Singapore showcased the new 2021 Avante 1.6 sports sedan in its Komoco showroom in Singapore. The car has already been homologated in Singapore and should be in by November 2020.
Two trims are available in Singapore: Avante 1.6 “S”, Avante 1.6 “Elite”.
The theme for Hyundai’s design for the 2021 Avante is “Sensuous Sportiness”.
“Parametric Dynamics” is the phrase Hyundai designers use to describe the dramatic look of the all-new 2021 Hyundai Avante 1.6.

Hyundai Motor is showing a preview of its 2021 Elantra at a world premiere event in Hollywood. Teaser video below.

Komoco Motors has brought in the new Avante (Singapore & Korean name for the Elantra) to Singapore for a preview in its showroom.

The upcoming seventh-generation Elantra features an edgy and aggressive look based on parametric shapes and textures, which reflects Hyundai’s new design identity.
The world premier press conference will take place at 7 p.m. PT on Mar. 17, at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, Calif. and will be livestreamed around the world.
The Elantra is Hyundai’s bestselling car globally, with more than 13.8 million Elantra/Avante models sold since its introduction in 1990.

The ‘Immersive Cocoon’ interior layout creates a driver-focused user experience.
The new Elantra returns to its sport sedan roots with a ‘Parametric Dynamics’ design theme.
The new vehicle platform offers a sporty four-door-coupe look with longer, lower and wider proportions.

Having test-driven the Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TFSI S tronic for the past week – courtesy of Audi Singapore – I found the luxury sports car a thrilling ride suited for urban roads of Singapore. This is the conclusion of a two-part review following the test drive.

The Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TFSI S tronic hits 100kph in 5.9 seconds.
The front-wheel driven car is powered by a bigger 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that puts out 227bhp and 370Nm of torque, which is plenty light 1,285kg that the facelift weighs.
The ride for the Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TFSI S tronic is firm, while the steering is light but precise.
Mid-drive acceleration is responsive especially in Sport mode with the maximum 370Nm at 1,600rpm.

Tried out the Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TFSI S tronic last week to check out the latest facelift for the luxury sports car. This is the first half of the review, which concludes tomorrow.

It’s been more than 25 years since the Audi TT concept car was first showcased in 1995 at the IAA in Frankfurt. The first Coupé premiered in 1998, with the 2nd generation in 2006 and the 3rd gen in 2014.
This latest update to the Audi TT Coupé sees the new direct injection 2.0 TFSI engine with 230hp replacing the previous 180hp 1.8 TFSI.
It’s been more than 25 years since the Audi TT concept car was first showcased in 1995 at the IAA in Frankfurt.
The design vocab of the Audi TT Coupé comprises geometric shapes, circles and strong lines. Managed to find matching environs to shoot the car.
The first Coupé premiered in 1998, with the second generation in 2006 and the third generation in 2014.
The latest Audi TT Coupé is now more masculine, progressive and sportier.

The Audi e-tron full-size SUV is Audi’s first full-electric model.
Audi also celebrates two years of successful implementation of “Audi on demand” in Singapore.
In terms of performance, the two electric motors produce up to 300kW to the four wheels, making the car an electric quattro that’s capable of tackling any terrain.

A full charge gives the car a range of over 400km.
in addition, the car features an exceptionally effective recuperation strategy with its integrated electrohydraulic brake control system.
