IFA 2020 gets the go-ahead for a three-day event – from 3 to 5 September – with a tight limit on the number of attendees.

Health and Safety will be top priorities as the Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances trade show proceeds with the annual physical exhibition in Berlin.
“Our IFA team really has pulled out the stops for this one. I’m incredibly proud of how they have tackled this challenge and come up with a solution for IFA 2020,” commented Dr Christian Göke, CEO of Messe Berlin.
Focused on IFA’s core functions, the IFA 2020 Special Edition aims to support brands, manufacturers, media and retailers to connect and celebrate innovation across consumer electronics and home appliances.
IFA will host four stand-alone events, with not more than 1,000 attendees for each event per day.
- IFA Global Press Conference for brands’ keynotes and press conferences
- IFA Global Markets sourcing show
- IFA NEXT meets IFA SHIFT Mobility innovation platform
- IFA Business, Retail and Meeting Lounges.
IFA 2020 will not be open to the public, but run as an invitation-only event.

Epson to launch new C6050 & C6550 Series ColorWorks label printers with auto-peeler and auto-cutter capabilities.
The C6550 series is now available for sale and the C6050 series will be available in Q3 2020.
The new ColorWorks C6050 & C6550 series includes the C6050A/P and C6550A/P models.
This series extends Epson’s range of technologies to meet the needs of small and medium-sized batch customers across a variety of sectors, including food, chemical, beverage, and manufacturing.

This new ColorWorks series is designed to enhance productivity without compromising on print quality of on-demand label printing solutions.
Epson boasts that the C6050P and C6550P models are the world’s first peeler-equipped inkjet label printers that remove the hassle of manually peeling the label backing papers, offering fast colour label printing to improve efficiency in the production line.
The C6050A and C6550A feature an auto-cutter that allows businesses to individualise print job cuts and enjoy the flexibility of customising the set number of pieces required.This makes on-demand print-and-apply colour label printing installations possible.
Epson’s most advanced printhead architecture, PrecisionCore printhead technology, has also been integrated into this new ColorWorks series.
