Huawei Band 8 (S$88) will be available for pre-order on its official store on Shopee from 1 June 2023. It will be available at Huawei Experience Stores in 313@Somerset and Westgate from 6 June. Promotions below.
The Huawei Band 8 smart band weighs 14g and has a thickness of 8.99mm. It also sports a 1.47-inch AMOLED colour display with a resolution of 368 x 194, and screen-to-body ratio of up to 65%.
Huawei’s Band 8 is equipped with comprehensive health monitoring, all-round fitness features, up to 2-weeks long battery life, and smart features.

Huawei is launching in Singapore the WATCH Buds (S$698) – a 2-in-1 smartwatch cum TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Bluetooth earbuds. It is also releasing its FreeBuds 5 earbuds (S$198). Both will hit the shelves in Singapore on 1 May 2023. Promotions below.

The Huawei WATCH Buds is basically a smartwatch that doubles up as a earbuds case, so that you don’t have to carry an earbud case separately, and you’ll always have the earbuds at hand – assuming that you wear your smartwatch all the time.

Huawei FreeBuds 5i, a True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, will hit the shelves in Singapore from 1 February 2023. Prices and promotions below.
The Huawei FreeBuds 5i comes in Isle Blue, Nebula Black, and Ceramic White.
The Huawei FreeBuds 5i continues to offer multiple ANC (active noise cancellation) and EQ modes, as well as Dual Device Connection for seamless switchover between different devices and operating systems.
It weighs only 4.9g and is 29mm long – that’s 7mm shorter than the FreeBuds 4i.

It’s Boxing Day and the second day of Christmas. Spare a thought for those who have been of service to you.
These two cheery “Gingerbread” couple welcomed us at the Church of St Peter and St Paul when we were returning to our cottage in the Cotswolds after dark and decided to take a walk around the village. This photo was taken with a Huawei Mate 50 Pro smartphone.
Boxing Day is a public holiday in many countries celebrating the day after Christmas.
According to Wikipedia, “though it originated as a holiday to give gifts to poor people, today Boxing Day forms part of Christmas celebrations, with many people choosing to take advantage of Boxing Day sales”.
The Oxford English Dictionary gives the earliest attestation from Britain in 1743, defining it as “the day after Christmas day”, and saying “traditionally on this day tradespeople, employees, etc., would receive presents or gratuities in the form of “Christmas Boxes” from their customers or employers.”

We found this charming X’mas tree and fireplace in the House of MinaLima Harry Potter Shop in London, a collaboration between two graphic designers (Miraphora and Eduardo Lima) who created the entire graphic universe of the Harry Potter movies and the Wizarding World.
May peace be with you and your loved ones in this festive season.
Fans of Harry Potter must visit the House of MinaLima (in the Christmas Card above) when you visit London.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro is the first Huawei smartphone to run on EMUI 13, which streamlines everyday interactions with simple one-touch controls.
Only the black and silver version of the Mate 50 Pro, with 256GB storage and 2m water resistance will be available in Singapore.
The orange version with kunlun glass, 512GB storage and 6m water resistance will not be coming to Singapore.

The Huawei Mate 50 Pro flagship smartphone features an Ultra Aperture XMAGE Camera, while the Huawei MatePad SE is a personal and home entertainment tablet.
Huawei has two flagship smartphone series – the photography-strong P series which launches in the first half of each year, and the video-strong Mate series which launches in the second half.
