The 2020 lineup of LG gram notebooks maintains the focus on being lightweight, compact and having a long battery life.

At the heart of the new series is the 10th Generation Intel Core processor with Iris Plus graphics and up to 24GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory.

“The LG gram series continues to lead the industry in delivering beyond expectations when it comes to portability without sacrifice. Customers often have to choose one feature preference among performance, portability and battery life. LG gram is proof that this adage is no longer true,” said Lee Chang Ha, Home Entertainment Product Director of LG Electronics Singapore.

With double the graphics processing power of last year’s gram models and a larger RAM, content creators will enjoy having the speed and power to edit 4K videos on-the-go while video game lovers can marvel at smooth, uninterrupted gaming with Iris Plus built-in.

The large 80Wh battery in both the 17Z90N and 15Z90N allows users to enjoy hours (up to 18.5hours per charge) of true portability without having to worry about finding a charging point.

The new LG grams also come with Wi-Fi 6 ensuring enhanced wireless connectivity, better efficiency and lower battery consumption.

Coupled with the Mega Cooling System, the LG grams are kept running cool and quiet under all usage scenarios.

tech4xmas 2017 gift recommendation: One of few gadgets that totally blew me away and convinces me it is worth its high-end price tag. The road warrior would love to have this as his/her Christmas present. I know I would be absolutely elated!

My take: “The LG gram excels streaks ahead in all four areas that are critical to me - lightweight, battery-life, startup-time, and external connectivity.”

So when I tried out the 14-inch LG gram 14 (14Z970), I was pleasantly surprised to find myself planning it as my next purchase – despite its relatively high price tag.

Specs wise, it’s no doubt high end – gram is the only notebook series that LG sells in Singapore.

But what impressed me was how it really stood out in the areas that matters to me – and I mean really stand out!

Firstly, the light weight at 970g. I believe it’s the lightest notebook I’ve ever used, with its enhanced durability Magnesium alloy body.

It’s so light I took a double take when I first handled it – wondering if it was a plastic mockup, even though I knew full well it was a real functioning notebook.
