Canon has launched today 4 new PIXMA inkjet all-in-one printers. The TS9170 (S$329), TS8170 (S$299) and TS5170 (S$189) are photo all-in-one printers, while the TR8570 (S$289) is a business all-in-one printer. Available 25 September, 2017.

Hot on the heels of Epson’s launch of the rival’s L-series ink tank printers yesterday, Canon has launched four new models in its PIXMA series of inkjet printers.
Canon’s new lineup is skewed more towards photo printing – three out of the four new models are photo all-in-one printers while the fourth is targeted at small businesses and SOHOs.

Epson has launched its new L-Series ink tank printers, with six new models (L6190, L6170, L6160, L4160, L4150, L405, ) ranging from S$539 to S$329. Available 22 September, 2017. Prices below.
Epson L6190 integrated ink tank printer uses spill proof refill bottles (S$539): print, scan, copy, ADF, Fax, duplex.
- ISO Speed: 15 ipm / 8.0 ipm
- Wireless, Ethernet, Mobile & Cloud Printing
- Supports Apple Airprint & Mopria Print Service
- Borderless photo printing up to A4 size
- User replaceable maintenance box available for added convenience
- 2 years on-site warranty, or 50,000 pages whichever comes first
All the new printer models (except the L405) are integrated ink tank printers where the ink tank container has been positioned within the printer to reduce the overall footprint of the printers.
Unlike the new integrated ink tank printers, the new L405 (S$329) retains the external ink tank design of Epson’s existing ink tank printers, resulting in a larger footprint.
New features in some of the models include auto-duplex printing (or paper feeding), PrecisionCore printheads and a 30-sheet ADF (automatic document feeder).

“ESTC returns this year to simplify and make intelligent business solutions more accessible to every business,” said Tan May Lin, Epson Singapore’s General Manager (Sales, Marketing & Customer Service Division), at ESTC 2016.
The global technology leader in printing, visual communications and digital imaging demonstrated integrated solutions that addressed the varied needs that businesses had in their work processes.
ESTC 2016 is the second edition of Epson’s bi-yearly convention to engage corporate partners and customers to raise awareness on its range of business products and solutions.
A large format printer for the marketing department, showcased at ESTC 2016 in the Sands Expo and Convention Centre at the Marina Bay in Singapore.
Epson showcased new business products ranging from office scanners to its new ultra-short throw interactive projector, mobile point of sales systems and wearable technology such as the Moverio BT-300 smart glasses and BT-2000 smart headset at the convention.
The convention was held today at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre and attended by 153 guests including business partners, end users, media and distributors.

Epson’s showcase offered insights as well as real-life demonstrations on how companies can develop a holistic strategy when investing in technology.

The L850 inkjet printer is Epson’s first A4 6-colour ink tank system 3-in-1 photo printer. Available in Singapore now at S$589.
The Epson L850 Original Ink Tank System Printer was launched in Singapore during Sitex 2014.
The L850 offers imaging professionals a photo print speed of up to 12 seconds per 4R photo. That’s 5 ppm.
It is able to print directly onto the printable surface of CDs and DVDs, which reduces costs by eliminating the need for additional adhesive labels.

Canon has launched a whopping 18 imaging products for their 2015 consumer line-up in Singapore, in conjunction to their global launch.
Highlights include the new EOS 5DS & 5DSR, EOS 750D & 760D, EOS M3 cameras; and the new MAXIFY line of SOHO printers.

HP has launched the Pavilion x2 tablet/notebook hybrid, ENVY Beats All-in-One desktop and three wireless inkjet printers – ENVY 5640 eAiO, ENVY 5530 eAiO and ENVY 7640 eAiO. Price and availability below.

The new HP Pavilion x2 is a full-featured 10-inch diagonal Windows tablet that transforms into a full-featured laptop with a detachable dual-purpose keyboard/cover that both protects the screen and serves as a multi-position stand.

The HP Pavilion x2 is a portable, versatile, highly affordable 2-in-1 PC powered by the latest-generation Intel Atom processor, and features front-firing speakers with DTS sound and a battery that lasts up to 11.45 hours.
The HP ENVY Beats All-in-One provides music lovers and movie fans with good sound quality with quad speakers and quad subwoofers.
It has a 23-inch diagonal Full HD IPS 10-point touchscreen display that tilts up to 30˚ so that users can sit comfortably while using it.
HP’s three new ENVY printers enable direct printing from smartphones and tablets.
The new HP ENVY 7640 and 5640 e-All-in-One printers will feature a new WiFi Direct feature, allowing users to maintain a simultaneous connection with both the printer and the Internet.

HP is collaborating with Singapore Asia Publishers (SAP) and onSponge to introduce new free print apps that allow direct access from web-connected HP printers to print out assessment and test content.
Sang Hoon Park describing how the free print apps will deliver quality educational content directly to web-connected HP printers. He is the Printing Category Director, Printing & Personal Systems Group, Singapore.
With the overwhelming choice of supplementary education options on the market, and the overwhelming volume of school-work already on young learners’ plates, parents are often unsure about how to help.
This new approach to supplementary learning – daily or weekly “bite-sized” education materials that are in-line with Singapore’s Primary School curriculum – reinforces learning for young students by focusing on quality and consistency instead of quantity.
Complement In-Class Learning
SAP is a leading publishing group specializing in academic materials such as supplementary workbooks, guidebooks, textbooks, reference books, dictionaries and other educational materials.
Availability
The SAP print app is now available for download free of charge for owners of HP Web-connected printers.
The onSponge print app will be available later this year.
The print apps are available on HP’s web-connected printers including HP Officejet Premium 6700 e-All-in-One and HP Photosmart 5520, 6520, 7520 e-All-in-One printers.
The SAP education print app offers content which has been handpicked from SAP’s own range of primary school assessment books, delivered on a daily and weekly basis.
Focusing on understanding key concepts through commonly tested questions in examinations, students and parents have direct access to bite-sized practice materials, all aligned to the latest curriculum taught in Singapore’s classrooms, that focus on understanding key concepts through commonly tested questions in examinations.
