Singapore will be the first in Southeast Asia to sell Dyson’s new hairdryer. The Supersonic will retail at S$599.
First launched in Japan back in May, the Supersonic marks Dyson’s foray from the business of cleaning to the business of beauty.
To commemorate the launch, Tangs will be doing an exclusive online pre-order with Tangs at their website from 20th July onwards.
“Hair dryers can be heavy, inefficient and make a racket. By looking at them further we realised that they can also cause extreme heat damage to hair. I challenged Dyson engineers to really understand the science of hair and develop our version of a hair dryer, which we think solves these problems,” said James Dyson, Inventor & Founder of Dyson.
Customers who pre-order the hair dryer may opt to pick up their machines at Tangs or have them delivered to their homes from 5 August onwards.
As part of the official launch, Dyson will conduct a hair academy with beauty blogger Drea Chong on the evening of 5 August from 7–9pm.
Limited spots are available and are on a first-come-first served basis.
Parties interested may RSVP to join hair academy.

The new HP store features a lifestyle experience zone for shoppers to try out the latest Spectre and ENVY notebooks from HP. “We are proud to be HP’s partner in the opening of a new 1,500 square-feet flagship store within the upcoming IT Zone at Marina Square. Its completely new, clean design enhances the store’s overall ambience making it a comfortable space for customers who need something quickly or want to spend some time locating the right solution,” said Mindy Tan, Chief Executive Officer for Newstead Technologies.

PSB Academy’s new city campus in Marina Square will host English proficiency programmes, as well as accounting and finance and business and communication diploma, degree and postgraduate courses from university partners such as The University of Newcastle, Australia, The University of Wollongong, Australia, Edinburgh Napier University UK, Loughborough University UK and Coventry University, UK among others.
In spite of the constraints of a city campus, there will be dynamic lighting that will automatically adjust to suit the time of day, to simulate an outdoor campus experience indoors.

Designed to be an oasis of learning, the centrally-located campus draws inspiration from Singapore’s identity as an innovation hub and “a garden city” with a blend of advanced technology features in a refreshing green environment with natural plants and lighting.
The new, fully Wi-Fi-enabled, campus will provide students and staff with a glass-housed radio and television studio, a town hall, a student hub, classroom configurations which allow for better collaborative learning, acoustically-treated MBA rooms – that will not require microphones for voice amplification – and auditoriums that can seat more than 300 people, amongst other features.

The new earbuds cum music player will be available in Singapore from this Saturday, 16 July. Available at S$298 in black, blue or white.
The Samsung Gear IconX comes with a case that doubles as a charger, which can power the earbuds up to 2 full charges while it’s resting.
Announced back in early June, the Gear IconX earbuds from Samsung comes with Precise Tracking Technology, to provide an optimal fitness experience.
Launch Promotions
From 16 to 31 July 2016, Samsung will be holding an islandwide launch promotion for the Gear IconX and Gear Fit2.
Customers who purchase a Galaxy S7 4G+, S7 edge 4G+ or Note 5 4G+ will be able to enjoy S$50 off their purchase of the Gear IconX or Gear Fit2.

From today, the newest version of Google Chromecast will be available in Singapore from M1 and Lazada retailers at S$65.
The new Google Chromecast (S$65) has a brand new look and is now available in black.
Chromecast turns any TV into a smart TV by streaming the display of a Chromebook or an Android, iOS, Windows device onto a any television with an HDMI port.
With fresh content and an updated app to find entertainment, the new Chromecast promises to make streaming easier and up to 6.5x faster than its predecessor.
The new Chromecast has an updated design, making it easier to fit into TVs with crowded ports.
