Roborock today rolled out its latest robot vacuum cum mop – the Roborock S7 – in an online launch.

More details below about the Roborock S7, from the press release.

1. Mopping, Elevated

One of the fastest sonic mops on the market, the Roborock S7 offers a variety of high-intensity scrub settings from 1,650 times/min to 3,000 times/min, easily disintegrating surface dirt and breaking up even the toughest, dried-on messes – leaving floors cleaner than ever.

Intelligent mop lifting enables nimble navigation in challenging environments – VibraRise technology automatically lifts the mop when carpets are detected.

“Our goal with every Roborock product is convenience. The robot mopping process in the past has been arduous, needing customer time and input to set barriers or zones. The S7 completely transforms the mopping experience through surface recognition technology designed to automatically lift the mop element on carpets, making mopping completely effortless while also delivering a deeper clean than ever before,” said Richard Chang, Chief Executive Officer of Roborock.

This innovative feature made possible by Roborock’s new ultrasonic carpet recognition technology enables the S7 to mop hard floors and vacuum carpets in one, single cleaning session, without interruption.

The mop is also lifted as the S7 returns to dock, ensuring just-cleaned floors remain clean.

2. Powered for Performance

Upgraded main brush hugs the ground better for more effective agitation, maximising a strong 2500Pa of suction to effortlessly lift dirt and debris from deep within carpets.

Extra-large 5200mAh battery offers up to three hours of uninterrupted cleaning (in quiet mode).

3. Customised, Connected Clean

Roborock’s iOS and Android app offer a heightened level of control over every aspect of the cleaning experience – easy-to-navigate interface allows consumers to manage cleaning schedules and customize preferences.

Smart mapping provides real-time reports on the robot’s exact route during each clean, providing insight into the areas mopped and vacuumed.

Alexa, Google Home and Siri-enabled, the S7 responds to voice commands for an added level of convenience.

  1. Mary-Ann says:

Does the S7 have the camera?

    • tech4tea says:

No it doesn’t. I know the S6 maxV has the camera and it’s good for spotting accidents by your pets at home (I don’t know of any other vacuum/mop that can spot poop). The S7 doesn’t have it though so if you have pets that are not toilet trained yet, better do a quick visual check before setting off your robot vacuum/mop!

  2. Mark Kleberson says:

Is the S7 the new flagship from Roborock?

    • tech4tea says:

In terms of pricing, the S6 maxV is still the priciest. I’m guessing the next iteration maybe S7 maxV will be the next flagship instead. But that’s my own speculation.

  3. Ian Sylvester says:

Can I order earlier than 4 Apr for the 4.4 promotion? It’ll probably sell out fast if there’re only limited units on that day.

    • tech4tea says:

Erm… I don’t think so. You’d probably have to standby around midnight on 4 April if you’re worried about missing out on the extra discount. Good Luck!

      • Ian Sylvester says:

hmm, i usually go to bed past midnight anyway. My iRobot is in its last throes. I’ll probably get the S7 to replace it. Cheers!
