Amongst the new devices is the EliteBook Folio 1020 family – which HP touts as the industry’s thinnest and lightest business-class notebooks.
“The HP EliteBook 1020 represents game-changing innovation in both materials and mechanical engineering to create the world’s thinnest and lightest business notebooks in a form factor that enables our customers to be more productive in more places,” said Serena Yong, general manager, Printing and Personal Systems, HP Singapore and Malaysia.
The HP EliteBook 1020 and the HP EliteBook 1020 Special Edition (SE) are ultra-thin at 15.7 mm, and the SE takes advantage of HP’s exclusive blend of magnesium-lithium alloy and reusable carbon fiber to achieve a weight of only 1 kg (2.2 lbs).

“Customers demand not only a stylish, thin and light notebook, but also a device that delivers advanced security and can withstand the rigorous demands that come with a highly mobile lifestyle – and the HP EliteBook 1020 delivers this complete solution,” said Yong.
These notebooks also deliver both speed and near silent operation with a fanless design and solid state storage, supported by latest Intel Core-MTM processor technology.
Both devices come with HP Client Management Solutions and optional LANDesk4 and Intel vProTM technology to easily integrate and deploy into an enterprise IT environment.
The notebooks include HP’s exclusive enterprise-class security, including certified Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2/2.06, pre-boot authentication, fingerprint reader and the exclusive HP Sure Start self-healing BIOS to help better protect your device, data and identity.
“Mobile devices are changing how we live and work, and they pose significant challenges to IT departments who have to support their now mobile workforces while keeping corporate data managed and secure,” added Yong.
HP is also continuing its “Business-First” approach to mobility.
The company has combined the new devices with services and its network of partners to create solutions to enhance productivity for mobile warriors, and to allow companies to streamline and simplify their business operations while providing the IT department confidence the task can be managed securely.
Mobility not only changes where people work, but how they work.
A common approach to business mobility is to retrofit consumer devices and attempt to make them enterprise-ready, or drive customer lock-in to a single platform or device.
“HP is the world’s largest commercial computing provider to the world’s largest companies. No other company is better suited to address commercial mobility than HP. Our devices feature built-in security, manageability, and durability packaged in innovative, stylish designs that end users crave. When paired with our ISVs’ robust solutions, HP has created an ecosystem that helps companies powerfully and securely harness the promise of mobility,” concluded Yong.
HP is taking a modular approach featuring secure, purpose-built devices.
By supporting multiple operating systems, HP is giving business customers a choice of application eco-systems and user experiences.
When coupled with the new software offerings from HP and its partners, the company is offering a complete mobility solution for all businesses – including education, field service, healthcare, public safety and retail industries.
The new tablets, 2-in-1 devices, and notebook PCs running Microsoft Windows operating system, along with new tablets built on Google’s Android operating system, all feature built-in security and can be tailored to meet specific use-case requirements with a focus on embracing business mobility.
