Lexus showcased its new electrified eco-friendly car models at the Singapore Motorshow 2023 by launching the Lexus RX SUV and previewing the Lexus RZ BEV.

At the Singapore Motorshow 2023, Lexus also displayed an extensive hybrid lineup ranging from Luxury Sedans to SUVs: Lexus IS, ES, UX, NX.
The preview of the RZ at the Singapore Motorshow 2023 is its first public preview ahead of its official launch.

The battery electric vehicle (BEV) is built on a new dedicated all-electric platform, with the adoption of the new Lexus spindle body, a minimalist design and athletic silhouette that will set the new design direction for Lexus’ all-electric vehicles in the future.
One key focus of the Lexus RZ is the DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system.
This system is able to precisely control front-rear torque distribution from 0 per cent to 100 per cent in either direction, maintaining optimal torque balance, excellent handling stability and controlled vehicle posture.
With this electrification technology, customers can look forward to a more intuitive drive experience with the RZ.
Key specifications for the Lexus 350h / 450h+ / 500h F SPORT.
The new RX is equipped with a GA-K platform with a multi-link rear suspension, allowing the vehicle to move more easily to conform to the varying angles during a drive – creating a highly dynamic performance for drivers.
Building on the importance of safety, the Lexus Safety System +3.0 is an integrated system that focuses on three critical areas of crash prevention: detecting and mitigating frontal collisions, keeping vehicles safely within their lane, and enhancing safety during night driving.

Lexus is aligned with the Singapore Government’s initiative of introducing more green vehicles.

Adding onto the brand’s efforts towards carbon neutrality, the interior of the Lexus RZ has
been decorated with Ultrasuede BX for the seat upholstery.
Partially using plant-derived raw materials, the Ultrasuede BX is a high quality suede-effect synthetic leather that provides an excellent tactile feel whilst offering high durability.
The newly adopted material contributes to the elevated, premium interior of the Lexus RZ.

Lexus Driving Signature
With the focus on the Lexus Driving Signature performance and next-generation Lexus design, the fifth-generation RX continues to stay close to the increasingly diversified needs and lifestyles of customers.
With optimal weight distribution, there would be a perfect combination of high rigidity that provides drivers with a sense of security and assurance, whilst remaining lightweight.
The all-new RX would provide riders with a well-balanced ride comfort and high levels of quietness that is present in all Lexus models as part of the brand’s DNA.
Exterior Design and Tazuna cockpit
As part of the next-generation Lexus design, the transformation of the exterior of the new RX was a key task.

Lexus took on the challenge of creating a unique identity through the use of the Lexus Spindle Body, which provides ample cooling functionality with a powerful design style that correlates to the new driving experience.
Additionally, the side and rear design contributes to a lower-centre of gravity and planted stance.
The human-centred Tazuna cockpit aims to enhance the connection between vehicle and rider.
With steering wheel switches designed to be integrated into the head-up display, drivers can concentrate on driving without toggling between the road and steering.
Extra effort in ensuring switches, buttons were made to pursue optimum placement and shape for intuitive operation, while taking the frequency of use of each function into consideration.
The all-new Lexus RX continues to captivate its customers with the unique exterior and interior colours that showcases the Alluring x Verve design of Lexus.
Lexus Safety System 3.0
These are key features that would provide added boost of assurance and security to Lexus owners.
With the Lexus Teammate, a driver-assistance system, it would allow hands-free driving on certain roads and highways during slow moving traffic less than 40 kilometres per hour, providing their customers with comfort whilst ensuring that they are able to be re-engaged fully with the RX in any situation.
The RX also provides new experiential value using advanced technology to keep their drivers safe whilst maintaining comfort.
New Electrified Powertrains including Lexus first hybrid F SPORT performance
The brand has plans to launch an elevated RX450h+ Plug-in HybridE-Four and the RX 500h F SPORT series in subsequent phases.
As the brand’s first turbo-hybrid F SPORT performance, the RX500h F SPORT provides large steering angle Dynamic Rear Steering (DRS) for high manoeuvrability as well as high speed stability – allowing greater stability and assurance to the driver.
- RX 350h: 2.5 litre Hybrid achieves low fuel consumption and an exhilarating driving feel.
- RX 450h+: 2.5 litre Plug-in HybridE-Four achieves class-leading EV cruising range and powerful acceleration performance.
- RX 500h F SPORT: 2.4 litre turbocharged Hybrid F SPORT DIRECT4 achieves a new driving experience using electrification technology.
