CE China 2018 – Opening & Day 1 with IFA Retail University

CE China kicked off its third installment this morning in an opening ceremony attended by Shenzhen Vice Mayor Chen Biao. The first of three days for CE China 2018 saw the successful completion of the new IFA Retail University.

IFA Retail University is a new format in CE China where international exhibitors at trade show presents their latest products and share their brands’ strategies and visions in short 20-minute “power briefings” in the IFA-GPC style.

Industry analysts from GfK and IHS Markit also presented their findings on trends and forecasts for the region.

After the opening address by Jens Heithecker (EVP Messe Berlin Group, IFA Executive Director, CE China Chairman) and Dai Fengjun (EVP, South China, Suning.com Group), Alexander Dehmel and Charlie Cai from GfK presented market insights from their analysis to a full attendance.

The session was followed by Xu Duo (Product Manager of Marketing, Refrigeration) from Bosch; Chu Jianzhong (General Manager Shenzhen Branch) from Haier; Guenael Bourtembourg (International Licensing & Sales Manager) from Blaupunkt; and Henning Lohmann (GM Asia) from Severin.

The afternoon began with sessions by Saša Gvozdenović (CEO & Founder) from Yamazoki; Marie Wu (Product Management) from elgato; and Bernd Braukmann (Managing Director) from Caso Design; and was followed by Jacky Peng from Fakir (Authorized Sales Agent); Clark Ye from Huawei (Smart Home Product Director); and Zhang Bing from IHS Markit (Associate Director).
