“CES Asia brings together major companies and top level executives from a confluence of different influential industries that all touch the tech space in some way. Southeast Asia, with its status as a developing region of growth, is a driving force for us as we continue to build strong momentum and gain a reputation as the place for businesses to expand their presence in the growing Asian marketplace,” said John Kelley, senior director, consumer technology association & international programs, CTA and show director, CES Asia.

Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ – formerly the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® – and co-produced by INTEX Shanghai, CES Asia serves as the premier event for the Asian consumer technology market for global brands and budding startups alike.

The CES Asia show floor will span 40,000 gross square meters (20,000 net square meters) of exhibit space showcasing 15 product categories from 3D printing and smart home to vehicle technology and wearables.

New for 2016, there will be a Startup Park with the latest ideas and innovation from budding entrepreneurs.

CES Asia is a hotbed for emerging innovation like smart home technologies, digital health and fitness, unmanned systems and wearables.

More than 25 exhibitors will showcase the latest in wearable innovation at CES Asia.

“Wearables are one of the fastest growing areas of technology. They not only count our steps, they also track our mood, sleeping habits and even our pets. The possibilities that surround this product category are endless and wearables are already transforming the way consumers live and operate entirely,” said Karen Chupka, senior vice president, CES and corporate business strategy.

CTA will host a conference session to boost awareness of trends in this growing segment titled Innovative Wearables.

The panel will discuss the newest innovations coming to market, as well as the important considerations of user interface and design.

CTA research expects wearable sales in the emerging Asia-Pacific region to increase by 56 percent for 2016.
