Amidst the searing heat of the afternoon sun, the mosque offers a cool refuge and respite for worshippers and visitors.

Masjid Abdul Gafoor was gazetted as a national monument of Singapore on 13 July 1979.

Abdul Gafoor Mosque is managed by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura, MUIS) today.
It continues to serve a largely Tamil Muslim community and also offers religious classes in Tamil.
