Both new devices ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop and are waterproof (IP65 & IP68) & dust-tight.
Sony Mobile Communications (Sony Mobile) introduced its class-leading Xperia Z4 10.1-inch tablet, and its mid-range Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain.
Xperia Z4 tablet
Sony boasts that the Xperia Z4 is the world’s lightest and slimmest 10-inch tablet, as well as the world’s brightest 10.1-inch 2K display (2560 x 1600 pixels), with a long battery life for up to 17 hours of video playback.
The Xperia Z4 measures 167 x 254 x 6.1mm and weighs 389g for the Wi-Fi version (393g for Wi-Fi + LTE version).
The Android 5.0 Lollipop tablet runs on a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64 bit processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, with up to an additional 128GB through the microSD card slot.
The Xperia Z4 has an 8.1-megapixel rear camera and 5.1-inch front camera and is powered by a 6000mAh battery.
Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone
The Xperia M4 Aqua is an Android 5.0 smartphone that measures 145.5 x 72.6 x 7.3mm and weighs 136g; with a 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720 pixels).
It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa Core processor (Quad-core 1.5 GHz + Quad core 1.0 GHz) with 2GB RAM and 8 or 16GB internal flash memory, with up to 32GB on microSD card.
The Xperia M4 Aqua has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera and runs on a 2400mAh that offers 2-day battery life.
Sony also introduced a new Stereo Bluetooth Headset SBH70 – a water resistant wireless headset made from durable silicon. The SBH70 will launch in five colours.
