OPPO has launched the Reno2 (S$899) & Reno2 Z (S$899) Android smartphones in Singapore. OPPO also launched its first wireless noise cancelling headphones – the Enco Q1 (S$179). Available from 26 October. Introductory promotions below.
The OPPO Reno2 (S$899) comes in Luminous Black and Sunset Pink with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The mid-range phones bring enhancements to OPPO’s Reno series phones in improved Wi-Fi connectivity, photography and video recording.
An interesting feature I tried is the real-time video bokeh where the background is blurred. It’s the video equivalent of the portrait mode in smartphone still photography.
The more affordable OPPO Reno2 Z (S$599) comes in Luminous Black and Sky White with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The OPPO Enco Q1 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones (S$179) in Midnight Black and Sunny Orange will be available from 26 October 2019 at OPPO concept store and OPPO official online store on Lazada, Qoo10 and Shopee.
More details below from the press release.
Dual Wi-Fi boosts internet download speeds
Connecting to Wi-Fi from your smartphone is often accompanied by issues such as slow download speeds, interrupted browsing and unreliable connectivity.
Introductory Promotions
Customers who pre-order the phone will receive a free pair of OPPO Enco Q1 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones worth S$179 at the NEX OPPO Roadshow from 21 to 25 October 2019.
Collection of pre-ordered phones will take place at the roadshow from 26 to 27 October and the first 100 customers to collect their phones will walk away with an OPPO 10,000mAh Power Bank worth S$69.
Singaporeans will no longer have to bear these annoyances with the new OPPO Reno2.
The OPPO Reno2’s Dual Wi-Fi feature connects to two different Wi-Fi hotspots, which may share the same SSID or have two different SSIDs, without any interference.
The two hotspots can be set up on one router, such as a home dual-band router, or on two different routers.
This means doubled network speeds, seamless switching as both channels work simultaneously to select the signal with better connectivity, and ultimately, higher reliability, enhancing the overall user experience.
World’s first pop-up camera with front and back Bokeh Effect
Taking pro-grade portraits and videos has never been easier with OPPO’s new Bokeh Effect, available on the OPPO Reno2’s front- and rear-facing cameras.
In fact, the OPPO Reno2 is the first smartphone to feature a pop-up camera with bokeh capabilities on both sides for video.
The OPPO Reno2’s Bokeh Effect utilises OPPO’s unique AI technology, powered by specialised Neural Processing Units (NPU), to create a soft bokeh effect that places the subject front and centre.

The Reno2 ships with quad rear cameras with up to 48-megapixel resolution.
Get up close with OPPO’s Ultra Macro Mode
Singaporeans can now discover unique perspectives from up close with OPPO’s new Ultra Macro Mode feature, available on the OPPO Reno2.
Ultra Macro Mode captures detailed shots from as close as 2.5 cm utilising OPPO’s 116° Ultra-Wide-Angle lens, capturing even the tiniest details at close range.
This brings users closer to their subjects than ever before.
