The Logitech X300 Mobile Wireless Stereo Speaker is a wireless Bluetooth speaker designed for both mobility and performance. It is affordably priced at S$99 in Singapore.
Despite its diminutive size, I found that the X300 speaker exhibited wide-range sound that easily fills a room.
That’s due to the way the drivers have been angled facing upward and out to produce a more expansive sound spectrum.
It delivers a deep and precise bass response, and detailed mid- and high-range sound.
You can also position the speaker upright in case of space constraints.
As with other Logitech Bluetooth speakers that I have tried in the past, connecting the speaker to a Bluetooth-enabled device and playing music streamed from the device is a piece of cake.
Simply hold down the Bluetooth button on top of the X300 for a few seconds for the initial pairing.
Make sure the source device has its Bluetooth turned on and is scanning for devices.
A blue light below the power button behind the speaker will begin to flash until it has paired with a device, in which case, the light will become solid.
I had no trouble pairing the X300 to my GALAXY S5 and iPad mini.
Once paired, the X300 will pair with the Bluetooth phone or tablet automatically whenever it is within its range of 30 feet – provided the phone/tablet has its Bluetooth turned on.

All the buttons on the Logitech X300 speaker can be seen on this view. The Power button is at the bottom left corner.
The X300 is compatible with any smartphone, tablet or other device that support Bluetooth wireless audio profile [Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)] or 3.5 mm audio output.
You can also use it as a speakerphone to share the incoming voice.
Logitech promises up to five hours of continuous play without recharging.
When I let it roll at mid volume, I got easily more than six.
The Lithium-ion battery is charged via an included standard micro-USB cable and you can listen to the speaker while charging.
The Logitech X300 measures 152 x 71 x 69mm and weighs 355g. It is portable enough to hold in one hand and carry around but not small enough to fit in the pocket.
Above the speaker are the large Volume increase/decrease and Bluetooth connection buttons.
The Power button is behind the speaker and you can’t really tell it’s a button so a new user would probably take some getting used to locating it.
At the other corner behind the speaker is the 3.5mm Aux input and the micro-USB port for charging.
The rubberised feel makes it easy to grip without slipping. It is not ruggedised so don’t drop it or splash water on it.
It comes with a one-year limited hardware warranty.

so the sound comes out from the sides as well?
Yes. The sound is directed upwards and outwards towards the front and sides.
The design looks nice! Quite trendy.
Yup. And the sound’s pretty good too.
Gosh I really like the pink. But the blue looks nice too. Will be getting the blue for the bf for his birthday!
Yes the pink colour is really sweet. Well your bf can get the pink one for you on your birthday then!
How is the sound compared to the UE speakers?
Quite comparable to the UE Mini Boom even though the UE line is Logitech’s premium line of speakers. That’s how good the X300 is. But the Mini Boom is more compact and you can pair two speakers together to boost the overall sound.
