Circles.Life Ventures into Travel with Jetpac Subscription Service

With the resumption of travel following the restrictions during the heights of the pandemic, Singapore telco Circles.Life is venturing into the travel sector with its new subscription service for travellers – Jetpac.

Siddarth Chaturvedi, country head for Singapore at Circles.Life, launches the Jetpac travel subscription service at the Mandala Club in Singapore.

The details of the Jetpac subscription can be found in this story from the preview I attended last week in Singapore.

For the moment, the core services – Lite Pac at S$10-per-month – includes the provision of global roaming data, and access to airport lounge during flight delays.

The S$20-per-month Pro Pac adds (S$20) monthly Expedia travel credit that can be accumulated, while the S$30-per-month Insure Pac further adds up to S$50k travel insurance by AIG.

There is no minimum period for the subscription and you don’t need to be a Circles.Life customer to subscribe to Jetpac.

Ajay Sampath, the Head of Brand Marketing at Circles.Life says that over time, additional travel services such as car rental and sales of air tickets through partnerships would be added to Jetpac.

Siddarth Chaturvedi, the country head for Singapore at Circles.Life tells me that the idea was to provide a one-stop service to cater for all the travel needs of the traveller.

I guess this is the beginning of Travel-as-a-Service as pioneered by Circles.Life!

Is the data roaming activated immediately upon sign-up? Or is there a waiting period?

    • tech4tea says:

You get the eSIM immediately so you can start roaming when you sign up.

What about the airport lounge benefits and the travel vouchers? I’m planning a trip in January, thinking of using the vouchers since I use Expedia anyway.

        • tech4tea says:

Like the data roaming, the airport lounge benefits are available immediately upon sign up. But you get the Expedia travel credits at the END of each subscription month. So if you’re booking your hotel stays for January in December, you’ll need to sign up in November to get your first S$20 voucher for use in December.

How does the thing work, do I get a card or have to install an app. Eg. if i need to use the airport lounge, how do I prove I’m entitled to it to the airport staff?

    • tech4tea says:

The subscription runs off an app – the Circles.Life app (don’t worry, you don’t have to be a Circles.Life telco subscriber). For the access to airport lounge, you key in your flight number before you fly, and when there’s a flight delay, the app will inform you and direct you to the lounges available. Note that the lounge access is only if your flight is delayed (by at least 1 hour).
