8.17pm: All have faster 5G than competitors for uplink and downlink. More powerful image signal processor.
8.16pm: Kirin 9000 CPU – 5 nanometer, 5G SoC, Octa-core. (Pro/Pro+) Integrated into the SoC is 24-core Mali-G78 GPU, and an NPU (Neural-network Processing Unit) with two big cores and one tiny core for on-device AI. The Mate 40 has a 22-core GPU and NPU with one big & one small core.
8.12pm: Huawei Mate 40 Pro+ features a nano-tech ceramic back panel available in two colours: Ceramic White and Ceramic Black.
8.10pm: Huawei Mate 40 and Huawei Mate 40 Pro are available in Black and White, as well as a new Mystic Silver, a finish with a colour-shifting effect that looks different from different angles. There are also two vegan leather variants, Yellow and Green.
8.09pm: Dual stereo speakers, 150% deeper bass. 90Hz refresh rate for the screen, with 240Hz touch sampling rate.
8.08pm: They all have large round symmetrical ring of cameras at the rear (Space Ring Design), curved screen at the sides and both physical volume button and virtual volume sliders.

When will the Mate 40 reach Singapore?
The rollout to different countries were not announced during the launch, so we’ll have to wait a short while for the local pricing & availability. What I do know is that Singapore will be getting the HUAWEI Mate 40 Pro variant in Black and Mystic Silver, with pricing and availability to be revealed soon.
