In its first virtual launch via Zoom, Epson launched a slew of business printers for Singapore, from desktop printers (L14150, L15150, L15160), office printers (WF-C878R, WF-C879R) to enterprise-class copiers (WF-C20600, WF-C20750, WF-C21000).
The WorkForce Pro WF-C879R and WF-C878R RIPS (Replaceable Ink Pack System) multifunction A3 printers were launched earlier in May (see story here).
For today, the new printers were the desktop EcoTank B2B (L15160) and B2C (L15150 & L14150), as well as new multifunction inkjet WorkForce Enterprise copiers (WF-C20600, WF-C20750, WF-C21000).
The new EcoTank L15150 and L15160 are compact, wide-format and multifunction A3 ink tank printers with the capacity for high performance continuous printing in both colour and black-and-white.
They are the successor models to the Epson L1455.
The EcoTank L14150 is a compact A4+ ink tank printer that offers scan and copy functions for both legal and folio size on its flatbed, as well as up to A3+ simplex printing via the rear paper feed slot.
The WorkForce Enterprise copiers not only cater to enterprises, but also to medium and large offices as well.
The new WorkForce Enterprise copiers bring improved functionality and usability from previous models, with an improved automatic document feeder (ADF).
It also comes with a new stapler and booklet finisher, that brings new features including saddle-stitching, hole-punching, stapling and stacking capabilities, delivering faster throughput speed.
More details below from the press releases.
New High-Speed Inkjet WorkForce Enterprise Copiers
The new WorkForce Enterprise copiers help companies improve printing productivity while reducing their impact to the environment.
The Epson copiers deliver speeds ranging from 60 pages per minute (ppm) to an ultra-fast 100ppm.
They deliver a fast first page-out time of 6.2 seconds with minimal warm-up time.
High capacity ink cartridges yield up to 100,000 pages for black and 50,000 pages for colour, enabling continuous printing with uninterrupted downtime and a lower total cost of ownership.
Designed to meet the high-volume printing needs of businesses, the printers can handle print volume of 20,000 to 100,000 pages per month.
Driven by Epson’s PrecisionCore Heat-Free technology, the inkjet copiers consume far less power than laser copiers.
The WorkForce Enterprise copiers consume up to 85 per cent less energy than similar-speed laser copiers, which can amount to significant cost savings in the office.
Inkjet copiers also produce up to 85 per cent less carbon dioxide than those of comparable laser copiers.
In terms of waste generation, the WorkForce Enterprise copiers come with fewer components that need replacing, making them more convenient to operate as they require only changing of the ink cartridges and maintenance box as compared to the toner, drum, developer, fusers and more components for laser copiers.
This translates to 59 per cent less replacement parts compared to laser copiers, significantly reducing the amount of waste generated and impact on the environment over the lifetime of a copier.
With this, downtime is greatly reduced, with much less maintenance for the copier needed over its lifetime.
Epson Expands EcoTank Printer Line-up with Three New Launches
The L15150 and L15160 EcoTank printers feature the new DURABrite ET ink that allows for water and smudge-resistance – including text, barcodes and images – for high quality business documents.
“As we enter the new normal working environment, we will need to adapt to more hybrid workplaces. As such, Epson is providing our innovative technologies to help reduce stress at work by enabling better productivity and efficiency for employees. The new line-up offers a range of solutions catering to enterprises as well as medium to large-sized companies that are looking for performance and value. As Epson’s inkjet technology does not use heat for printing, it brings reduced maintenance and downtime, the ability to print on a wide variety of paper types, and a reduced impact to the environment in terms of energy consumption and waste generated,” said Tan May Lin, Director – Sales, Marketing and Customer Service of Epson Sales division, Epson Singapore.
All three new EcoTank printers offer print, scan and copy capabilities at high speed – with duplex printing available for up to A3 size for the L15150 and L15160, and up to A4 size for the L14150.
Boasting Epson’s PrecisionCore technology, these printers offer impeccable printing quality at up to 4800dpi, with a page yield up to 7,500 pages for black and 6,000 pages for colour with affordable inks.
Scanning and editing are also simplified with Epson ScanSmart, which converts scanned files into editable formats for a variety of different uses.
Furthermore, both the L15150 and L15160 EcoTank printers have a high input paper capacity of 550 pages via the two front paper cassettes and the rear feeding paper tray, which can accommodate varied paper types and sizes.
This high capacity allows for reduced paper refill downtime for increased business efficiency. All three EcoTank printers boast a user replaceable maintenance box that also reduces maintenance downtime.
Epson first launched its high-capacity ink tank printers in October 2010 in Indonesia, and subsequently in Southeast Asia and globally.
