Microsoft showcases Xbox One games in Singapore launch event

Xbox held a showcase event at the School of the Arts with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the line-up of blockbuster games coming to Singapore.

The event featured international developers and publishers representing the breadth and depth of the Xbox One portfolio.

Come this holiday, gamers will be able to create on Xbox One Car Clubs of up to 1,000 members and race through a wide-open world featuring the stunning landscapes of Southern Europe in “Forza Horizon 2”.

Xbox One gamers will also be able to relive the complete story of a legendary hero in “Halo: The Master Chief Collection”; explore, scavenge and fight to survive in a world overrun by zombies in “Dead Rising 3”; join Ori, the last spirit guardian, as he discovers the mysteries of a dying forest in a beautiful coming-of-age story in “Ori and the Blind Forest”; and dive into the mayhem of Sunset City in “Sunset Overdrive”.

Also available on Xbox One this holiday season are highly anticipated blockbusters like “Assassin’s Creed: Unity”, “Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare”, and “EA SPORTS FIFA 15”.

To celebrate the launch of Xbox One in Singapore, Xbox is giving its fans the chance to win a trip of a lifetime.

“Xbox High Flyers” will grant one lucky Singaporean fan alongside other fans across the Asia region to jet set across the globe for 10 days.

Fans will stand a chance to visit some of the biggest game studios, get airborne with Master Chief and play spectator to the world’s most epic sporting events.

In addition, Xbox will give hundreds of prizes including limited edition prizes and exclusive content.

Fans in Singapore can pre-order one of two Xbox One bundles for delivery on 23 September, 2014.

The Xbox One Launch Console Bundle includes a digital copy of EA Sports™ FIFA 15 for S$639, while the Xbox One Launch Kinect Bundle includes a digital copy of EA Sports™ FIFA 15 and Dance Central Spotlight for S$739.

StarHub TV Anywhere

In a strategic partnership with StarHub, users will now be able to access content from the StarHub TV Anywhere app which will be available for free download on Xbox One.

“The feedback from our fans in Singapore has been overwhelming. We are excited about the launch on September 23rd and look forward to welcoming our fans to a world of award winning games, making Xbox the best place to play this holiday and beyond. We will launch at least 50 games this holiday with 20 of them being exclusive to the Xbox platform which makes it the biggest console launch line up in Singapore,” said Rennie Addabbo.

Boasting a signature Windows tiled layout unique to Xbox One, the app offers easy navigation through StarHub TV Anywhere’s line-up of 89 channels including one FreeView Channel, SuperSports Arena.

SuperSports Arena will be made available to non-customers as long as they have registered for a Hub ID.

Also unique to Xbox One, the StarHub TV Anywhere app recognises voice and gesture commands, and allows users to discover content offered on StarHub TV Anywhere via Xbox One’s native Bing search.

For an elevated viewing experience, customers can deploy Xbox SmartGlass, an Xbox app, to turn their mobile devices into remote controls to interact with the StarHub TV Anywhere app directly.

Below are the latest list of games that will be available at launch on 23 September 2014, and that will be launching during the Holiday 2014.
