Yamaha Opens 1st AV Lifestyle Concept Showroom in Singapore

Yamaha Audio Visual launched its first lifestyle concept store in Singapore. The Yamaha Experience Studio (YES) is its first in ASEAN and is located at #06-02 in Plaza Singapura.

The Yamaha Experience Studio combines the authenticity of listening to music with the technologies that make the experience available at the time and place that consumers want to enjoy.

The 58-sqm flagship store will provide a space for audiophiles to experience the performance of high fidelity audio, including its acclaimed AVENTAGE AV Receiver series and new MusicCast system.

It is designed to enable visitors to hear music as if the artist was in the room with them, as well as to learn how to reproduce this experience in their own environment.

I visited the Yamaha Experience Studio as part of the media preview and enjoyed the high fidelity audio visual experience presented.

The products at the Yamaha Experience Studio feature patented technologies that have been developed over many years.

These include the Cinema DSP, which recreates the acoustic experience of a movie theatre and popular music venues such as New York’s The Bottom Line and Roxy Theater and even European cathedrals; the Yamaha Digital Sound Projector technology which produces sound beams that reflect off the walls of a room and envelop the listener; and Advanced YST, which enables linear coupling between amplifiers and speaker drivers for a more natural and energetic bass reproduction.

The new Yamaha Experience Studio aims to combine both audio quality with new technologies for streaming and managing music,” says Masahiro Ikeda, Managing Director, Yamaha Music (Asia) Private Limited.

These innovations and high-fidelity sound experiences can be enjoyed first-hand at the new showroom.

The newly launched MusicCast application is designed to allow consumers to enjoy optimised audio through their work or home environment.

The system works with an existing Wi-Fi router in private homes through a free MusicCast Controller app operating on iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.

The app allows access to a variety of content sources and controls the playback of MusicCast devices.

Yamaha offers a wide range of MusicCast-enabled devices, including AV receivers, sound bars, wireless speakers, wireless streaming amplifiers, Hi-Fi components, and Hi-Fi systems, all of which appeal to a broad range of customers at a variety of functionality, product forms and performance levels.

This includes, for example, the RX-V583 AV receiver, which achieved its eco certification for reduced electricity consumption on network standby.

In FY2018.3, 16 models were certified as Eco-Products, making a total of 320 certified models.
