The new LG G Flex2 is curved along its length and width, with a 5.5-inch curved screen. Available in Singapore on 14 March 2015 at S$998. Pre-order from M1, Singtel and StarHub from 27 February 2015.
Compared to its predecessor (the 6-inch G Flex), the G Flex2 has a smaller 5.5-inch display, but with increased resolution to 1080p Full HD at 403ppi.
“With the LG G Flex2, we have taken the previous G Flex to the next level with improved Self Healing cover, DuraGuard glass protection, as well as faster performance and charging. Staying true to our philosophy of innovation for a better life, the G Flex2’s enhanced ergonomic design and practical software features serve to bring greater convenience to users,” said Scott Jung, Managing Director of LG Electronics Singapore.
The G Flex2 is the first smartphone officially announced to come equipped with the Snapdragon 810 processor, featuring octa-core 64-bit capable CPUs optimised for Android 5.0 and the advanced Qualcomm Adreno 430 GPU for stunning graphics performance.
This makes the smartphone fast and efficient for multimedia and multi-tasking.
The Snapdragon 810 also features fully integrated 3x20MHz Carrier Aggregation support for faster, more efficient connectivity.
The G Flex2 uses the same technology as the LG G3, which impressed me when I reviewed it last year.
The fast Laser Auto Focus camera captures photos even in low light by measuring the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam.
The LG G Flex2 comes with features such as “Gesture Shot”, “Gesture View”, “Glance View” and “Fast Charge”.
