POTD: Sandals snaking down the walls

If you’re looking for a new pair of sandals, you’ll be spoilt for choice at the Ramadan Night Bazaar.

Most of the stalls at the night bazaar were open to photographers, especially if you ask the stall holders politely before snapping away.

Some even offered to pose with their wares.

For some reason, the shoe stalls were rather private about their goods. The first two sandal stalls I visited asked for $500 and $50 respectively to take photos of their stalls – not in a joking manner.

It was interesting both stalls asked for the same thing, even though they were separate and far from each other. So I declined and walked away, since I didn’t want to impose on anybody.

In the end, I did find one where the stall holder gave his assent. If I ever need a pair of Malay style sandals – and they do look comfy – guess which stall I’ll head to?
