The new Leica M11 Monochrom (right) looks identical to its sibling, the Leica M11. The former however has an all black paint finish and does not show the bright red Leica logo on the front of the camera.
It also offers the option of switching between 60, 36 and 18 MP at any time through pixel binning.
The camera has a built-in 256GB internal memory and a USB-C port.
The Leica M11 Monochrom sports an aluminum top cover, scratch resistant black paint finish, and sapphire monitor cover glass.
As a certified Apple “Made for iPhone and iPad” accessory, the Leica M11 Monochrom offers tethered shooting using the FOTOS app when connected to a phone via the included FOTOS cable.

How was the focusing? Was it difficult to do the manual focusing?
It was pretty good. Not as fast as auto focussing for sure, but the satisfaction of seeing that you got the right focus where you want it is worth it.
It took me quite a while to get used to the rangefinder when i first got the m10 monochrom as a gift. Now I’ve become much faster at it and really enjoy it. 🙂
Great! Do check out the M11 Monochrom … would love to hear your opinion of it, especially wrt to the m10 monochrom.
Can’t wait! I’ll share my thoughts when I get the chance to hands on the m11 monochrom.
