HDC.Together
The Huawei Developer Conference 2020 (Together) is held over three days from 10-12 September, 20202, covering more than 300 topics addressing open capabilities, with more than 400 industry veterans sharing insights, over 500 tech firms helping craft a wholly-new ecosystem, in a tech park spanning more than 2000 square metres – for both Huawei developers and partners.
With the proliferation of 5G and AI technologies in 2020 to enable greater intelligence and interconnectivity, HMS now offers 7 types of new services, and more than 10 distribution platforms.
The HMS incentive program now covers over 1.6 million developers around the world and with cross-device services reaching 700 million users.
Huawei sees HarmonyOS breaking down boundaries in communication, and enabling a seamless AI-Life paradigm for ubiquitous, connected intelligence.
The theme for this year’s HDC is “Together we build. Together we grow”.
HarmonyOS 2.0: with the latest update, HarmonyOS will officially be open source and developers will be able to gain access to emulators, SDK packages, and IDE tools.
EMUI 11: can be upgraded to HarmonyOS in the future.

HUAWEI HiLink: This year, upgrades to HUAWEI HiLink will be made in five key areas: connection, interaction, operation, solution provider, and authentication. The goal is to make billions of IoT devices connect easily, more convenient to manage and control, and interact seamlessly to enable an all-scenario hardware ecosystem
HUAWEI Research: which focuses on front-end research, opens two key platform capabilities: HUAWEI Research Kit and HUAWEI Research Cloud. These capabilities facilitate efficient innovative research processes, accelerate technological breakthroughs, incubate apps innovations as well as quickly achieve result transformation.
