Leica has unveiled the Gold Limited Edition of the ZM 1 luxury watch. There will only be 50 pieces globally with a price tag of S$41,000.
The Leica ZM 1 Gold Limited Edition includes two precious metals – gold and titanium.
The dual-metal case for the luxury timepiece uses 18k gold 4N and high-strength Grade 5 Titanium, serving as a modern tribute to Leica’s first golden edition camera – the IA Luxus from 1929.
More details below from the press release below.
The dial of the ZM 1 Gold Limited Edition watch exhibits a distinctive colour grade, enhanced by a sunburst effect achieved through precise brush technique and an exceptionally steady hand. The watch’s indexes and hands are delicately galvanised, mirroring the warmth of the golden case.
Beneath the surface lies the Leica Calibre LH-1001 movement, meticulously crafted and hand-assembled at the Lehmann Präzision manufacturer in the Black Forest, Germany, subjected to a rigorous five-axis regulation test.
The patented push crown addresses a function commonly shared by all watch brands in a unique manner.
A simple push stops the movement, resets the seconds hand to zero and enables time setting.
Enhancing the elegance of the Leica ZM 1 Gold Limited Edition is its strap crafted from alligator leather, responsibly sourced from a certified farm in America.
The leather undergoes a natural tanning process at a leading Italian tannery, achieving a refined grey-brown shade using only natural ingredients.
Every strap is hand-stitched in Geneva, ensuring a seamless fusion of durability and elegance.
The ensemble is completed with a butterfly buckle, meticulously crafted from the same 18k gold 4N, providing the perfect finishing touch.
