Eight new models from four series of Samsung’s MultiXpress multi-function printers equipped with Smart UX Centre – powered by Android – are now available in Singapore for businesses. Available at authorised Samsung business solutions partners.
Samsung’s Android printers are designed to be more independent, intuitive and can be used in all business environments for cost-effectiveness and increased productivity. Printers not shown to scale. Left: M4580FX Monochrome MFP; Right: K4350LX Monochrome MFP.
In line with Samsung’s focus to develop printer solutions that fit seamlessly into the IT and Smart office ecosystem, the new Android-based multi-function printers (MFPs) operate independently without a PC while offering application scalability and a user friendly interface.

The new Smart MultiXpress MFPs each feature a 10.1-inch full touchscreen panel that enables users to search and print from web browsers, emails, maps, images and other types of content – without the need to connect to a PC or server.
The touchscreen also offers the ability to preview documents, as well as editing and annotating capabilities.
The Smart MultiXpress series MFPs comprise eight new models from four different printer categories, including:
- X4300 series of A3 Colour MFPs: The X4300 series of A3 colour MFPs consist of X4300LX, X4250LX, and X4220RX models with an output speed of 30, 25, and 22 pages per minutes (ppm) respectively. X4300 series are equipped with Dual-Scan Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) technology, enabling them to scan up to 100 double-sided images per minute (ipm) for colour and up to 120 double-sided ipm for mono. All models are equipped with Samsung’s Rendering Engine for Clean Page (ReCP) technology and Polymerised Toner, proving sharp, vivid, glossy professional colour quality.
- K4350 series of A3 Monochrome MFPs: The K4350 series of A3 Monochrome MFPs consist of K4350LX, K4300LX, and K4250RX models with an output speed of 35, 30, and 25 ppm respectively. The K4350 series MFPs are equipped with Dual-Scan ADF technology, enabling them to scan up to 100 double-sided ipm for colour and up to 120 double-sided ipm for mono.
- M5370LX A4 Monochrome MFP: The M5370 has an output speed of 53 ppm and is equipped with Dual-Scan ADF technology, enabling it to scan up to 80 double-sided ipm.
- M4580FX Monochrome MFP: The M4580 has an output speed of 45 ppm and is equipped with Dual-Scan ADF technology, enabling it to scan up to 60 double-sided ipm.

The tablets mounted on each MultiXpress MFP are powered by Android through Samsung’s Smart UX Centre – the same touch-based, customisable UX technology found on the Samsung GALAXY line of smartphones and tablets.
“Our introduction of the first Android OS-equipped range of MFPs redefines the print experience for customers,” said Andy Sim, Vice President and Head of Enterprise Business, Samsung Singapore.
This is considered one of the industry’s first application of haptic technology that re-creates the sense of touch with vibrations for a more tactile user experience.
In addition to the touch-based functionality of the Smart UX, there are also ten printer applications and two widgets that can be downloaded directly to the printers from the Printing Application Centre website.
Here are some of the available applications and their features:
- Workbook Composer: With the Workbook Composer application you can drag and crop one part of a document and print or save it to a folder, e-mail or other designated locations. This application is particularly handy in education and office environments, which utilise many different sources of information, or need to compile disparate information across multiple files.
- HanCom Office: The HanCom office application allows you to view and edit Office files directly at the printer. You do not need to go back to your computer to correct errors on your printout. With the Smart UX Center, the entire process is just the same as if you would work on a tablet.
- Smart Colour Manager: This application makes it easier to manage the colour settings at the printer – particular useful for companies or organisations that use the office printer for brochures or designs. You can check and fine tune the colour table before you print, or create and save a colour profile of your company’s colour scheme.
Aside from the applications, users can also take advantage of pre-installed widgets with practical applications like allowing users to quickly check for toner levels, print volumes or view key device information, such as the printer’s IP name.
“Through user-focused innovation, we have designed a range of MFPs that enable PC-less printing, with enhanced user-experience and strengthened security features to meet increasing business mobility needs. This helps businesses optimise productivity efficiencies and lower their total cost of ownership,” added Sim.
All Smart MultiXpress MFPs are compatible with Samsung’s XOA (eXtensible Open Architecture) printing solution platform, and can be customised to meet niche business requirements.
The new MFPs have now been enabled with NFC Pro to meet the changing needs of businesses.
By adding the new Samsung NFC Pro accessory (available and sold separately), the new MFPs allow easy access of documents from smartphones, a stronger user authentication process, and improved IT administrative functions, such as the ability to easily “clone” the same security settings on multiple MFPs just by tapping on the NFC Pro accessory.
“As our business customers’ work styles become more mobile, printing without a PC streamlines workflow processes and drives workforce efficiencies. The intuitive and superior user interface and experience is designed to meet the rigorous demands of the mobile workforce,” said Sim.
Aimed at increasing efficiency and productivity in the workplace, Samsung’s Smart MultiXpress MFPs provide faster document processing speeds – output speed is much faster than previous 1 GHz single-core CPU thanks to its 1 GHz dual-core CPU – and also enable multiple users to print and scan large documents without disruption.
These MFPs also offer longer lasting toner and drum technologies – thereby extending the lifespan when compared to similar models – resulting in superior reliability and lower total cost of ownership.
Award-Winning Product Design
The Samsung X4300 series, K4350 series, M5370LX and M4580FX were most recently awarded with the prestigious iF Product Design Awards for their integrated and timeless designs.

The X4300 and K4350 series led the pack with a Gold Award that recognises not only the unit’s outstanding design but also excellence in creating the industry’s first integrated design identity.
Developed specifically to enhance user experience, the X4300 and K4350 series provide simple and fast usability by replacing complex feature buttons with an integrated 10.1-inch tablet and a Smart UI.
An international design competition hosted by the International Forum Design in Germany, the iF Design Award is one of the world’s three major design awards along with the Red Dot Design Award and the IDEA Award.
The awards are categorized into five groups: product design, communication design packaging design, interior architecture and professional concept.
International expert juries gather to carefully evaluate and analyse all the submitted products according to design, appropriate use of material and innovation.
Among 4,615 entries, the top 75 products are awarded the Gold Award.
